How could you possibly know that? I myself would follow every game if it were shorter and not as boring. I'm sure there are tons of people in my boat.

The main funder/coordinator is no longer with us.

Coach Cleetus. He had such a passion for the game.

Frankly, besides the defense controlling the ball, this is probably the worst thing about baseball.

I played at Peninsula too. Overlook, Columbia, Arbor Lodge and others back in late 50's early 60's.

Making the game shorter isn't going to make it less boring. People think it's boring because it's too slow and nothing happens. That could possibly be somewhat fixed by a pitch clock, but most people who find it boring dont find meaning in balls and called strikes. Making it games 6 innings and the season 81 games is a bad idea on multiple fronts.

Like i said it is fine with me if you want to think that. But if you were to look into it a bit you might find that those things have already been dealt with. In particular the TV deal. Start with Seattle playing Portland 3 series a year. Then go to infrastructure funding by Tri Met and see about public transportation. Then look into road expansion projects for the Industrial area of NW Portland. Then look into the MLB's statements on an expansion team going to Portland.
Like i said. I am through doing other people's research for them. You seem to have missed quite a bit.

Tell me why or how we are guaranteed expansion.

Also, the Orioles owner pitched a fit about the Nationals. MLB payed him off....will they don't show in? Word I heard was no. Nationals also had one of the worst tv deals because of it.

I grew up playing baseball in West Linn when it was still part of the Three Rivers League. Pat Bailey, who's now the Oregon State head coach was at West Linn then did a great job of setting up local camps in the area. One of my high school classmates, Andrew Checketts, eventually played for OSU and coached at UO. He's now head coach of UC Santa Barbara. University of Portland was the center of year round skills camps for local athletes to go to. They were a lot like the famous 5 Star basketball camps that were popular at the same time. Head coaches Terry Pollreisz and Joe Etzel did as much as anybody to keep H.S. baseball in Portland going. At least until Pat Casey began coaching at OSU.

Your "research", if not flawed, is way to optimistic.

I hope it happens, I just think we are getting ahead of ourselves. Lots of hurdles left

I remember Checketts. Good pitcher. Started the Championship game against Sprague (it was Sprague, right?) back in the day. UCD took us to the game at Civic Stadium. I remember Pat Bailey and have an acquaintance that is close to him. I grew up in Wilsonville before (during and after) the HS existed there, so a lot of sports were West Linn and Wilsonville as one program before splitting off.

Wait, what? I think it's higher than zero, which it was at up until Jackie Robinson.

I honestly can't remember. It's been so long. Checkett was a really good pitcher though. Originally went to a small school in Florida before transferring to OSU. I was surprised he wasn't offered the UO job when Horton's contract was up. But Mullens is apparently buddies with the UO head coach and gave him anothet try. I don't think that small ball approach Horton has to the game is working. They haven't consistently been able to manufacture runs in Eugene.

Well. I can't argue you thinking it's way too optimistic. Impossible to quantify.

No reason to argue. I really hope it happens. I guess in my advanced years, I'm slightly more pessimistic.
