He went to FLORIDA before transferring. Believe he was drafted by Boston but didn’t last long.

Blazing. It's been over 20 fucking years since I last saw him. You could have told me he planned to take animal husbandry at NW Tallahassee Juco and I'd have believed you.

He went to the NASA Station in Cape Canaveral.

Sorry - I wasn’t trying to be a dick, just saying where he went. He was a big deal outta high school was my point.

Yes. As an OC alum, with kids in the program, I would be all for Portland Pioneers as well.

The team has to stick to names that aren't too close to another teams name, or of a similar concept.

I'm not sure the Blue Jays would totally be OK with Blue Birds, and I bet it would mocked by everyone in the sports world due to the fact it's a bad name and super close to another teams names.

It'd be like saying they should the Portland Pilots (Mariners), or Portland Americans (Yankees or Canadiens), or Portland Sparrows (actually, I kind of like that name).

Their #1 goal should not to have a gimmicky name. I realize that when the Blazers team name was announced it wasn't super popular, but at least there wasn't any other team in the major sports that had that name prior to them.

Blue Birds? IDK. Not feeling it.

Isn't there already a team called the Blue Jays?

Jack Sparrow could throw out the first pitch. Or be our mascot.

I'm sure the Pirates wouldn't mind.

Too bad we couldn't get the Pirates to come here. Portland Pirates would rock.

"It's the blue birds vs. the blue jays"

    In other words, no.
