The Blazers should have made a major move after getting swept by the Pelicans last year... for some bizarre reason they thought they could bring back same starters and coach and have a different outcome... well we are now 23 game in and they obviously are not any better than the team that got swept by Pelicans... it’s time for a change

For once in his career it would be nice if Olshey took a risk.

There are risks in getting players, and there are risks in giving away our 4th-best player, Ed Davis.

So I agree, as long as it's a risk that doesn't purposefully destroy what was already weak enough, our bench frontline.

What is there to risk? Not being mediocre anymore? Getting out of purgatory?

Unfortunately, it can’t be a minor move... this team’s composition is flawed... either CJ needs to go, Stotts needs to go, or if Neil is so hell bent on making McLillard work than trade Collins, which I would hate... but doing nothing should not be an option... and whatever they do needs to be a major deal... we have 3 years of evidence on this failed experiment

    Same coach....same philosophy....same core....same results.

It shouldn't be a surprise things haven't changed. And they won't until major changes are made.

I don’t think we are able to make any big moves to our roster because of our current owner situation. I think Neil’s hands are tied

Normally I'd agree but if Olshey's a gambler, then he's still holding his cards way after the game is over. With Allen gone and getting decent value from any combination of players, nearly impossible.... he can't get enough talent back to make it worth it. Once make a choice on a certain path with a set of players, the results are unavoidable. Olshey did that in 2016 when he invested so much in that roster. The players he added afterwards kind of didn't matter. Their contributions would never make enough of a difference in the window of time this Blazers team had.

I think we’re actually worse than last year. The defense definitely is. The rest is pretty much the same as last year. Stauskas and Curry, superior shooters to Shabazz and Pat, are still getting fewer combined shots than the other two got last year. So we got better shooters, but are using them less. Brilliant!

It’s time for Olshey and Stotts to go. Bye. Too bad we don’t have anyone to fire them.

I like CJ, but he needs to be the 2nd fiddle on a team with a tall guard, not as a compliment to a small guard.

Not a failure for Stotts and Olshey - they still have jobs.
Not a failure for CJ, Turner, Leonard, or Harmless - they are all getting paid above market value.
Might be a failure for Dame - but not enough for him to demand changes.

The fans? We don't enter into the equation. Outside of Dame, every member of the organization from Olshey down would wipe their ass on you or I, and then charge us their autograph fee.

Maybe Washington and Portland can swap guards.

I doubt any major shakeups are happening with the ownership of the Blazers most likely changing in the next 12 months. Playing with the roster is a nice perk for the new owner.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. And the Blazers have been doing that for years to cover up personnel errors. If they stop down this insane path, the personnel may burn out way before then. Even rats know when to desert a sinking ship....

I'm all in favor of trading major players, as long as we get something. It's okay to give away overrated guys like McCollum or Collins, but if it's Lillard or Nurkic or Simon, I want something back.

    Pretty sure it's been monthly.

It's not time for a major shake up until our ownership changes

Something should happen, nothing will happen. Especially now with Paul Allen no longer here and no new owner in sight for the immediately future.
