I'd much rather put up with 3 additional shooting fouls than 29 additional 3-pointers.

My biggest wish for change would be at this point in the season benching cold shooters instead of letting them try to find their shot in extended minutes...Layman needs minutes and at this point I'd bench Zach more and play Meyers more of his minutes. Building some trade value before the deadline would be important to me and Meyers has built some trade value....give him court time now and look to swap him for a rim protecting backup center or an upgrade at the wing. If you swap him for a wing you play a lot of second half of the season small ball with Biggie, Zach and Nurk with Mo and Chief as well. I'd put Layman back in the starting role and bring Mo off the bench tomorrow but I'd play Jake more minutes in the second half

Great way to read a comment and not understand a word that was said. Then even funnier ending your comment complaining about people not understanding or listening to an OPINION.
Bones your opinions are well thought out to say the least but they are just that. Opinions. All i said in the previous comment was that if you talked to a coach he might open your eyes also. Unless of course you are unwilling understand or listen to a coach that has 400 NBA wins under his belt? I mean honestly now. How many NBA wins.... Er NCAA wins....ER High School wins.... Er maybe it's NBA assistant coach wins.... Assistant College coaching wins.... Assistant High School coaching wins.... awe shucks lets just say it for what it really is S2 3 on 3 tournament coaching wins do you have under your belt?

Would it really be so hard to just say "Yeah you know Stotts might be dealing with things we don't see and he might know a few things we don't know."

And also where did you come up with me using things said during the course of a game? Where in the heck did that come from? All i said is that there are numerous posts by you and many others that say players "Suck". That ain't game threads brother. That is in just about every thread in this forum. Not to mention how many times you have railed to have Coach Stotts fired. It just seems that there are quite a few people that might be more informed than you that feel he is a pretty decent coach. Not just decent but a number have said he is the best coach they have ever had.

My OPINION stands. It's easy to say "The Coach Sucks!"

Can't disagree at all with benching cold shooters and giving minutes to players that need to be showcased. My only issue would be Meyers. We just dealt with Nurk having a bad shoulder. the Blazers were woefully short on bigs. Not sure Meyers will be going anywhere this season?

The problem with benching cold shooters is that they dont get them Easy Baskets to get them going. They continue taking 25 footers guarded or not hoping they’ll eventually go in.

The way almost every shooter Ive ever been around gets going (when they’re having bad nights) is when they get some stuff going to the basket try to get them a layup or to the free throw line. I have a lot of dislike for the offense when Dame, CJ, Nik, Zach, whoever is obviously cold and they continue to jack up tough shots or 3’s.

This is actually what bothers me about how they use Zach on offense. I think Zach is best used in the post, he’s shown he has a good knack for feeling pressure, he’s got good post moves, his footwork is good. The few times he’s had a chance go to work he’s done well. If they used that it would help the 2nd unit slow down and play patient basketball. They dont have to go to it every play but I think putting him on the high or low post 3-5 times a game would really help the 2nd unit. Just throwing it out there Zach has proven to be a little spotty with his 3 pointers so why make him camp out at the 3 point line all the time? Especially when he can in the post effectively.

You need to use the ignore poster feature. It works great. For example, I have no idea who, or what you are talking about in this post. If you quoted someone, it must be someone I have on ignore, because I can't see anything, bolded statement, or otherwise, you are referencing.

Not everyone here is worthy of your time, and certainly not worth diminishing your participation and enjoyment of the forum. Put them on ignore and go happily about your business of enjoying the forum.

I think it's time to , just play Nurkic more for crying out loud. Leonard should be on a 1 minute leash. Play well, get more time, play aloof and continue to let guards score at will in the paint, cheerleader time.

Nurk might not have the conditioning to play a lot more minutes. He’s a big, big dude.

At least 33 minutes per. Build him up. If he stays at 24, he'll never build up to what this team really needs from him on a nightly basis.

Went to look at stats, and Nurk is averaging over 30 minutes the last 7 games. Continue to push upward. Season avg. 26 mins pers. Embid at 34.

Weal argument. Heres your logic: How many NBA points do you have? None? Therefore you can't criticize the coach. Have you ever won a local election? None? Therefore you can't criticize the president.

"Would it really be so hard to just say "Yeah you know Stotts might be dealing with things we don't see and he might know a few things we don't know.""
All NBA coaches know something we don't and deal with stuff we can't see. Didn't mean we can't accurately see their flaws. Doesnt mean I can't notice that he gusted the pick n roll the same way for Steph Curry as he does Rajon Rondo. Doesnt mean I can't tell how few sets we run and how Iunproductive the are going to the rim. Doesn't mean I can't see him giving Layman the Vonleh treatment. Doesnt mean I can't see how he doesn't have a counter to Dame being trapped. Doesn't mean I can't see him running pick n roll just past half court when Dames getting continually trapped, etc etc etc.

I really have only been saying players (and really only Stauskas) in game threads. I have continually said our fanbase underrates our roster.

Do you know basketball more than Zach Collins? The "I know more because I'm older" crap is the weakest argument possible.

Dame and C.J. have played for one coach who's known for not holding players accountable
How the hell do you know if they wouldn't change? You dont...

They love Stotts because Stotts doesnt hold them accountable and hes a players coach. They need a coach they respect, who holds them accountable.

You seriously think that a coaches ability to get the most out of a player is based on how likeable they are? Seriously? Lmao.:biglaugh:
