He's one of Neil's chip on the shoulder gambles ...I think the range on his shot, rebounding and motor are all bankable skills that the Blazers feel they can work with. Chief's ball handling and improved offensive game have made Biggie pretty expendable...I'd say they look at him as an insurance policy project PF that can fill in until he's caught up with the speed of the NBA. I'll say I think he'll make strides way faster than Meyers did ..not that that's hard to do

I do think Caleb will prove y'all wrong.

Meyers has been given so many damn chances that Caleb will get one from me.

But how can he improve just by practicing? And not even doing that on full effort as 12 guys play games and take it easier than the rest.

He has a great feel but holy shit does his lack of athleticism kill his impact.

Much like Scalma says about using Nurk in the high post, I wonder if Caleb would be better off used as a passer at the top of the key. He was a decent passer in college.

I guess he'll have to be 30 playing in Europe for you to concede.

Thing is, Meyers has no limitations except for his brain. With Caleb, it's his body.

Caleb needs to become a fantastic 10 to 15-foot guy. He can rebound but he can't jump to save his ass and either gets blocked or misses badly because he's about to get blocked.

I'll give him one more year unless he's needed in a trade. Who was picked after him and how their doing compared to Caleb is irrelevant at this point.

I'm shocked this guy is still wearing a Blazers uniform.
I don't remember a worse player than him in recent history... maybe Victor Claver?
I'm pissed off everytime i see him enter a game.

So was Jermaine Oneal, and he played a hell of a lot more with a hell of a lot better talent in front of him.

Yeah, because he was much more talented. They're not alike in the slightest.

I can only think of one good game he’s had, in two years.

I'd put "his story" at the top of the list, 1a to 1b's work ethic.

Yeah, there was that one and those three plays from that other game....or was that in Summer League?

Thing is, I tend to feel bad for guys that get clowned on boths end every time they step on the floor, but that's usually because I know they can do better. Like the game I went to where the guy was shouting at Meyers over and over, "You can do better, Meyers!" until finally Meyers turned around and shouted back, "Shut the hell up!" Like that, but Swanigan can't do better.

You don’t think he can? I think he’s been out of shape since summer league last year. I have doubts he’s doing everything he can to get on the court. But that’s just my speculation.

Look how much skinnier he is here

Z-Bo is sneaky quick with an elite first-step for a big.

    Imagine Z-Bo at age 45, that's Biggie's athletic ability.

I had a bunch of conversations about this guy. I really like the guy. Great attitude and a hard worker. With those two things you always have a chance but his body and athleticism just isn't there. If he became a lights out shooter he might get over the hump? Who knows?

Gut feeling? He doesn’t love being a professional, specifically the not playing part.
