No. It has to do with Trump's policies. His tax breaks for the rich, his tariffs, etc. Another key element to the crashing stocks is Trump is going down in flames in the Mueller investigation and everyone knows it.

The economy has never been fixed from the great 2008 crash, it's only because of quantitative easing and artificially low interest rates that this economy has been having any momentum whatsoever without those things this economy would fucking suck

You couldn't be any more wrong. If interest rates were kept low and continue to, it wouldn't matter what trumps policies were the economy would still flourish. It's exactly why the beginning of Trump's term still had a burgeoning stock market, because the FED weren't really raising interest rates at that time. It was predicted that his election would cause a stock market tumble and it didn't and that's just because of the Fed

The tumbling Market is a reflection of the fed and how it's all screwed up. Our economy rest solely on the Fed's actions from now on basically until everything crashes and burns to the ground

You literally think interest rates are the only thing that matters? Zero interest rate = permanent prosperity forever?

I'm not an economist but I think it's a little more complicated than that.

That's why they also have to have four rounds of quantitative easing. Both of these measures were just a life vest for the economy that America relied on a little too much

If you take the time to read the entire article, and understand it..

It explains how the stock market never reacted untill after Fed. chairman Powell made the announcement. Because the traders did not hear the news they anticipated, and already adjusted for.

The interest rate hike was anticipate. But not the clear signal of more hikes to come. So it was an adjustment for future interest rate hikes that caused "this" decline in stock prices

Everything wrong, and there's certainly a lot of it, is the fault of someone else. That's typical Trump like thinking.
Trump is a sinking ship. Don't go down with it.

I would like to discuss the stock market in general. I am not an expert, but, have over 60 years of experience with investing in the market.

Many factors influence the stock market, but, this one day decline was due to the unexpected news of future interest rate hikes.

The stock market has been in a bull market since 2009. One of the longest good runs in our nation's history. The market was overdue for a correction.

Corrections are a healthy part of the process. It weeds out weak stocks that have risen too far too fast. The good healthy stocks make a comeback.

Also there is a timing factor. The end of the year is when many portfolios make adjustments. This often causes a decline in stocks prices in the fall. Then after the new year and into the spring, more money is put into retirement funds to take advantage of tax deductions (such as IRAs), the market often raises again.

As far as the market adjusting to Trump and his bad behavior, think about this. Who knows Trump better then the stock market? They have been dealing with him for decades.

Presidents can affect the price of stocks. A good example is when it became obvious Obama was going to get his Obamacare bill passed. Medical stocks made a very large rise in value. However, with the recent court ruling, medical stocks made a huge decline.

Guess what I'm saying is, I'm damn tried of all the hate speech. I don't like Trump, never have long before he ran. But this hate speech is not wining me over to the far left. It is pushing me away.

Come up with a better plan and canidates, and I will listen. But fuck your non-stop hate speech.

Sorry for any errors, My numb hand is in a cast, not the best situation to use a touch screen.

Wait, I thought we were supposed to blame everything on the last administration, isnt that how it works? The effects of policy making take time to be seen I was told.

Weren't we experiencing the exciting perks of Obama's policies just a matter of weeks ago?

Lol. This game doesn't make sense.

Not sure what you mean by that. Other than being a general blowhard, Trump had very little to do with the stock market until he was president.

Trump claimed credit for the stock market when it was rising, so it's only fair that he should take blame now.
That's why sensible presidents don't claim much credit for stock market increases.
