Perhaps 'Zombie' is his valet driver.

Why hasn't Neil been at games recently?

Even KP wasn't this much of a coward.

Last game he attended was the "bird game," right? Now he watches the games on a private feed from a hot tub in the back, arms wide and relaxed, while the Blazer Dancers feed him grapes between their routines...at least that's what my sources tell me.

Lol. Paul Allen wanted them to sit together. Neil is at every single game. No other GM and President sit next to the owner side by side. It was weird and now it’s over.

Something writer Charles Bukowski said about famed publicist Eliot Mintz applies to Olshey, "He's like a kid's toy accordion -- no matter how hard you squeeze him you get the same sound."

Just before anyone else endorses him, don't even fucking THINK about claiming Chauncey "no experience or connections" Billups should replace Olshey.

He sounds dumb as SHIT when giving player evaluations.

No experience might be just what we need though. A guy like Billups or Charles Barkley. A high risk taker. Someone who isn't afraid to swing for the fances. What could it hurt? Portland obviously can't attract star free agents.

So what you're saying is...Dennis Rodman for GM! Make The Blazers Great Again! We'll build a (defensive) wall and make the Lakers pay for it!

    SAM HINKIE.

His philosophy was to build a powerhouse - not a "nice little team."

Neil is content with being on this treadmill.

That could be why he's been passed over a couple times?

All I know if he can't see this crap not working anymore it then it time to make changes. I see people trashing Zach all the time on D but if that the case you should be trashing everyone on D. Due to Zach is one of our better defenders.

If I was running the Blazers I would bring in Mike Dunleavy Jr in a front office role. Maybe Brent Barry. I didn’t have a problem with Chad Buchanan, who is in Indiana. Buchanan is ready for the GM role (he is in Indiana now as GM). I’m a big believer in grooming a guy to take over. The current assistant GMs I’m not sure are GM candidates. Good guys but maybe not GM material. Too bad Phoenix nabbed James Jones. They need a young guy who knows today’s NBA surrounded but a veteran who knows the NBA inner workings. I personally like Olshey. But I wouldn’t mind him relinquishing some of the responsibilities to another guy who is aggressive. The balance between the two would be good - as I think Neil is good with parts of the job.

I dont think Billups is a great talent evaluator, but Id be surprised if he doesnt have any connections.

Im not endorsing chauncey, but I think a respected ex-player is Portlands best way of ever getting FA’s to come to Portland. I think a middle-aged or old white guy with little to no playing experience has almost no shot of convincing a high profile NBA player to come to Portland. The Blazers at the very least should make more of an attempt to bring in ex-players in adminstrative roles.
