Are you saying the people on this site don't know exactly what is going on with everything in the NBA?

I'm Shocked! Shocked i tell ya.

I read comment after comment on S2 that tells me exactly What Stotts and Olshey are thinking. They absolutely cannot be wrong. Certainly about where Melo will end up. Obviously beings this thread has 484 pages and counting.

You would have had more credibility if you had just said "I don't know" rather than just pull something out of the sky. Bottom line, nobody in this forum can say one way or the other but there are examples out there such as Grant Hill who missed significant time (sat out the whole year when he was 31 after missing most of the 3 previous seasons and then came back to play till he was 40. One never knows for sure. :bgrin:

Oh and for my next question, what are this weekends powerball numbers?

why do you make shit up? Nobody said the NBA is looking, but I can pretty much guarantee you that there are teams monitoring his situation.. And working on a game broadcast is hardly a death to never playing again. I don't know if he will or not, but you certainly don't either. If this is going to be your way of discussing things then I am outa this discussion.

I do think the Blazers need extra offense from the forward position, but would prefer Jabari Parker.

well, Melo is still a Rocket even though he's been told to just mail it in from home

    * does anybody think that Morey will waive him before the trade deadline? (no?)

    * if Melo isn't traded, is Morey asshole enough to not waive Melo before the March 1st playoff eligibility deadline? (maybe not?)

    * if he is waived, would Portland ever consider waiving Baldwin and signing Melo? (maybe not? it would cost an extra 4.2M in salary and tax)

*If Morey can't deal him, yes. Lebron wants him, Houston wants Caldwell Pope. So, look for a three team trade before or at the deadline to make it happen.

*If the Lakers won't deal Pope, who Morey Covets, he might decide not waive Melo, who the Lakers would look to sign (after waving someone of their own), to stick it to the Lakers. If he can't make a deal, holding onto Melo's contract for the remainder of the season won't hurt the Rockets financially. So, it is conceivable that could happen.

*No. We are takking about Neil Olshey. Unless there is another move to allievate some of the Blazers salary (They are already in tax territory) the Blazers, with Paul gone and the team likely for sale next summer, have no reason to go further into tax for such a high gamble.

If the Blazers make a trade it will most likely be to shed Turner, Meyers, or Harkless.

I think Melo would’ve been waived already if another team was willing to pick him up. My assumption was they were holding onto him until he had something lined up. Does waiting before release him decrease what they would have to pay in tax if no one claims him? Could explain it, if so.

Man all that talk a couple seasons ago about NYK trading him to Houston. All that fear about another superteam. What a sad end to Melo's career.

Ultimately, the Rockets are thinking of themselves first. They have no obligation to him, other than to pay him, unless thry can trade him. He did nothing for them. They are looking to try and get something for him before they cut him lose.
