Im sorry my first response was way more snarky then it needed to be. I just mean to say I mean someones going to be coaching teams in the future and with enough work who knows maybe someone here could. Anyways I apologize if that was more rude than it needed to be.
I believe that was on the Blazer sight. At the time, I was shocked to see ticket prices that low. Of course other games were higher.
Well we are 8 games into this 12 game period and we are 5-3. Pretty surprised that we have done this well. Funny thing is we have lost games I thought we would win and won games that I though we would lose. I was thinking 4-8 and possibly worse to start this string of games. Worse case is 5-7 now which is a real possibility. Certainly the most diffcult part of this 12 game stretch. This team is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get.
Pretty much state of the NBA this year. There appears to be a lot more parity this year and on any given night ........
@ Hou - L @Mem - L TOR - W (had this as a loss but it's a good win even with 3 of the top 8 rotation players for the Raptors missing) @Lac - W (this was a pick'em for me. Any win on the road is a good win) MEM - W (had this as a win because the Grizz haven't been good on the road) UTA - L (had this as a win as it's usually a home-and-home series between these two) DAL - W (had this as a win for payback and because DAL isn't very good. Almost blew it! @Uta - Have this as a Loss for the same home-and-home reason as before. @Gsw - The Warriors beat the Blazers w/o 2 starters. They are healthier now. GSW - See above What has been a decent stretch could turn sour in a hurry to wrap up 2017.
I always thought it was harder to be a major college NCAA Division one coach. Some of these kids come out of high school without the team concept engrained into their experience. They may be studs in a small town and then awaken to team ball with complicated plays/scenarios and may not start or have the status they had. The experience and awe of playing in front of thousands of people while trying to get a degree is a challenge. Mac McClung of Georgetown is the example of a well coached player from high school with team concepts taught through a good coaching staff. He is also gifted.
10 games into this stretch and we are 6-4. All I can say go figure. If you were betting on the Blazers in Vegas they would be off the board due to unpredictablity.
Show me a team that has been consistent all year this season. It's called parity (especially in the west) and what many have been clamoring for.
That's true of the regular season. The problem (IMHO) is that the regular season and the play-offs are almost 2 separate leagues - and often with 2 separate rule books!
Imagine the league without Golden State this year. There be more parity than at any time during the leagues history.
