I honestly think we would have the best record in the NBA. We’ve beaten Toronto, Boston, Milwaukee, Indiana, and Philadelphia and we’d get to play Bulls, Cavs, Hawks, and Knicks 3 or 4 times each! What do you think?
I was just thinking to myself, “Self..... is there a thread where we not only talk about the Eastern Conferance, but the ENTIRE league?” SIGH http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/ar...ts-a-new-year-baby.339614/page-3#post-4628041
I think moving to Vegas would keep them in the Western Conference but flights out of Vegas are easy so I'm fine if they put them in the East.
Since we are posting our favorite colloquial IF sayings and musings, here's mine; If the dog wouldn't have stopped to take a shit he would have caught the rabbit.
If we would've drafted Michael Jordan. I think if the Blazers were out east they'd be kind of in a similar spot. A team that gets to the playoffs every year and maybe a 2nd round team instead of a 1st round team?
Maybe? I dont know. Philly, Boston, Toronto, Milwaukee. We could hang with them, Im not sure we’d be favored to win a series against them.
Sometimes when I look at the standings I like to see where teams would be if they were in the other conference. I guess Im part of the problem. I guess part of me finds it interesting to compare conferences.
Small sample size. We cant even beat the Pelicans once in a series so how can you see we'd beat better Eastern Conference teams? Sorry I was using logic. Nevermind.
I was using logic too. I see your point. I don’t think “we got swept by the Pelicans” should be the answer to every question though. For instance, even though Pelicans beat us last year, they’re not even in the Top 10 in West this year. In other words, this is a new year. Things aren’t destined to be the same as last year.
