That is just utter insanity. I wonder if thats the highest % for a team that has shot over 18 3ps in a game.

Ainge and Stevens are definitely overrated. Why would anyone want Stevens over Stotts? Celtics are loaded with talent and they’re 5th in the East.

Apparently, the Spurs made their first 14 threes. Also- Aldridge scoring 56 without shooting a three must be a record in the modern NBA.

Yeah he was the one I thought of. He scored 70, right? That goes about 25 years back.

Spurs seem to be playing a very intelligent brand of basketball right now. The reason why they can go 16/19 from three is because they virtually do not take shots from bad positions. They only attempt threes when they are very confident they can make it.

Yet they got a 2-seed last year when Kyrie and Hayward were out, and you said they were better without them, but also said Steven's was overrated...

Compare their roster before IT and now... they have talent to contend with a lot of great young talent and many more picks coming.

Their record through half a season doesnt mean anything.

    Most points without a three-point attempt since Shaq in March 2000 (61). Also the only 50+ pt, 0 3pa game since 2000 that wasn't also a double-double.

Actually, the highest for any team with even 10 3pa in a game.

Both wrong. Robinson took and made 3-pointers in his top 3 scoring games, including the 72-point game.

But many others have scored 50 points, yet tried no 3-pointers.

While I researched, you posted 18 minutes before I posted, but you only went back to 1999, while I went back to 1979, so I WIN, YOU MF !!!! Let that be a lesson to you! Never compete with jlprk at 5 in the morning!!

Because I only sought a relevant timeline, searching when 3's were commonly taken.

Also, I wasn't looking for the most without a 3pa, simply the most recent game above Aldridge's. My query was perfect for that for which I was searching.

And of course, I was first. :ghoti:

Actually Barkley made a comment on the halftime show. He said "The Spurs have a great plan on three point shooting. They don't let guy shoot them unless they can make them". Seriously at halftime not one starter had even attempted a three point shot. By the end of the game the starters only attempted 6 making 4 of them. Mills, Bertans and Belly Nelly attempted 13 and made 12 of them by the end of the game.

The Spurs are starting to look like a Pop coached team again. If you don't have them in the hunt this season you are not paying attention. LaMarcus is without question an All-Star. I have watched the Spurs play about 6 games this season. All of them against either Golden State, Houton or OKC with i think one of them against the Lakers. Without question in every game Aldridge was the most dominant player on the court. Say what you want about the Blazers but losing LaMarcus was a giant step back. If they had him on the roster the Blazers would be a contender.
