He’s shooting 38% on the season so 2/10 is not normal.

He scored 40. Should we have forced him to score more?

It’s just more picking and choosing so a narrative is met. Blaming Stotts for some things, no credit for the exact same thing that goes right, etc. I don’t get it.

Thats not true at all though. I do give Stotts credit when he does good things. I was just saying that the closing minutes of that particular game wasnt really coaching. You are building up your own narrative too that I some how hate stotts so much that I will bash him whenever things go bad and when they go good I will never give him credit for those things. I do in fact give him credit for things.

I dont blame Stotts everytime they lose a close game.

    I missed the game.

Jokic demolished Nurk, or what's the story here?

It was a good game that could've went either way. Whoever lost wouldve felt like they missed oppurtunities to win it. Jokic got Nurkic in foul trouble, and it seemed to take away a lot of Nurkic’s rhythm.
I thought the Blazers had them up until the last minutes of the third and Denver went on a run and that was mostly the difference in the game. The Blazers stormed back and made it a back forth game most of the 4th. Just missed some shots.

Which is basically what I said right after the game, but you know thats me building up my anti stotts narrative...

Blame game is just so annoying to listen to and to debate.

Too many things happen in a game. Coaches make "mistakes", game plans don't "work", players miss shots...shit happens.

I agree, i just get frustrated being told i'm trying to create some anti-stotts narrative. I don't think Stotts is an elite NBA coach, but that doesn't mean I blame him for all their losses or give him credit for all their wins.
I never said this loss was all on him either.

Lillard, CJ, and Nurk all had inefficient nights, Jokic couldn’t miss, yet Portland was still in a position to win the game.

If there’s one thing to complain about, it’s Stotts hesitance to trust Layman. 18 minutes is unacceptable considering the struggles by seemingly everyone else. I swear we’re looking for a wing we already have, but we’ll never know for sure unless Terry trusts him.

    On to the next.

Blaming Stotts for his mistakes... when do his "mistakes" go right? Aminu on Jokic, not doubling Jokic, not playing Layman enough, terrible set at the end, etc.

Those things are negatives. They dont "go right".

All good. I dont think he’s a moron by the way and if I ever go that crazy to start name calling and all that during a game, Id like a shot to apologize.

It's seriously really simple. Denver is a really good team. Our guys weren't on tonight. Those two things being said, we almost won. This game was a good sign that our team is an elite team in the league.

The annoying thing is Denver is too damn young as well and they are already this good. We made fun of them the last years for missing playoffs but i didn't see us accomplishing anything other than 4-0 1st round exits. They are first in the conference with some of their main guys missing many games and some are still not 100% or out. They also have a guy that has never played yet and fell in the draft because of injury concerns but was considered to go number 1 overall, he has the potential. They also can't draft wrong, literally whatever they get becomes gold. I envy them right now.

We could’ve won both games. I’m not sold on Denver being a top 4 seed this year. I think they will drop off big time as the season goes on. IMHO.
