Great ball movement which other teams have to account for....which opens up angles for teammates.

    Layman/Aminu a combined 14/18 tonight. 32 points on 18 shots!!

Somehow fitting since didn’t Batum once have a 5x5, but Nurk’s 5x5 was even better?

If Jake made another dunk, my nipples were going to burst through my shirt.

Way to go Nurk! First triple-double for a Blazer since Nicolas Batum back on Jan 8, 2014.

I'm hopeful that we're not just seeing 'a good run', and this is simply the new Nurk!

So when he was drafted, he was 2 years away....from being 2 years away?

So is Bagley, Luka Doncic, Wendell Carter Jr...
Lets not act like he’s the youngest player in the history of the NBA or anything.

Im not saying dont give him time to learn and figure it out. His advanced stats are about as bad as Ive seen. To be fair he has hardly touched the floor in meaningful minutes so the sample size is small. Would just really like to see him come in, in one of these blows outs and just have a nice 2-3 minute stretch.

Anyways good win, nice to get a w after the road trip.

I don’t know but it’s like trading for a new player. But Stotts needs to keep trusting him and not just when he’s playing well.

For some strange reason it seemed Nico had a lot of 9-9-9 games for us...he never cared if he got that extra pt or rebound

Those guys played in college and Doncic has been a pro for years. Simons is coming from IMG which is pretty much high school.

One difference between Simons and those other players is they were drafted in the top ten by shitty teams that needed them to play right away, and Simons was drafted later by a playoff team. Simons was drafted more on potential and less on ability to contribute right away. Those other players should play more. Simons is also getting to learn behind Dame and CJ.

His stats are going to be bad because whenever he's in they are trying to get him to score and he's forcing it a lot of times. But you can tell the entire team is excited to see him get on the floor to see what he can do. They see him in practice every day and know what he's capable of. He may never develop and I could be totally wrong, but something about him gives me a good feeling. And I wasn't wild about him at the time of the pick.

We might have found our future small forward in Layman. If he continues to play like he doing.

7 combined turnovers tonight between these 2 teams, this is an NBA record-low.
