B/E has a post about this suggestion as well.

Personally, I don't see Cleveland so on fire to get rid of Love that they'd dump him for so little.

For the Blazers, it'd seem like another deal (Lin?) would need to follow this one.

Whaaaaat? You crazy. It's obvious that Curry is our best player! He makes everyone around him better.

Hooo boy - that's a tricky argument to make. The other side of that coin is that by charging the consumer for journalism only the well-to-do will be informed/educated. It use to be that the cost was paid for (mostly) by the advertisers - and the consumer got free (via library) or heavily subsidized (25 cents - $5 depending on whether it's a daily paper or a weekly magazine) information. With the paywall you're asking for a HUGE (comparatively) upfront payment which essentially removes access to the entire lower class.

Getting rid of Love's 30 mil per contract for the next 4 years is huge for Cleveland and their very young team. But I a not sure those numbers add up. If I am Cleveland I would take ET and Aminu plus a young but unproven talent. (i.e Gary Trent)

Portland IMO would be taking a huge gamble paying an often injured player who would be 31, 32, 33, and 34 that kind of money. However I would roll the dice because I think Love's passing, rebounding, and 3 point shooting fits in well next to Nurk.

Something I think that is being way undervalued when it comes to KLove is his basketball IQ. He is a very smart player and he's a great stretch 4 along with a great rebounder. He's an NBA champion and would play hard here for his hometown team.
If you can do a deal even close to that....you have to do it.

Unless you can get blake..then go get blake

Why mention that B/E has it? Do you want me to go there to discuss it instead of our superior forum? LOL! C'mon man you're a mod.

I don't want that Love contract anywhere near Portland.

It's not what I want but I still think Love is the most likely trade scenario. It can become a reality in 2 days.

Fuck no to Kevin Love. No one is going to trade for him without seeing him play first anyway.

More pointing out that the B/R dude probably grabbed it from B/E, indicating that there is no substantiation to the suggestion outside of the mind of some random blogger on some inferior fan site.

    Better?

Huh? You have it backwards. The B/E article is about the B/R trade, not the other way around.

It's still just a meaningless suggestion from a national source like the CJ for Gordon trade though.

That's funny, I was literally about to come on here to post the same thing.

Outside of a first though, there's nothing we could offer Brooklyn.

Lot of parallels to him and Layman. 4 yr college players. Didn't do anything til yr 3.

You guys want Harris to be our starting SF, or a role player off the bench? I don't see any reason why BK would get rid of him. He's cheap and consistent.

He's a better option than anyone we currently have. At worst he plays the sixth man role over Turner. 64% TS%.

I agree about his value. I just dont see BK letting him go. Unless they're sure they are getting 2 max FAs, they don't need to clear his meager 8 mil/yr salary. That's a great contract.
