You're about the same age as me, did you ever watch Billy Cunningham play? I was a huge Sixers fan growing up before the Blazers came along as Hal Greer was my favorite player but also enjoyed watching Cunningham play as he moved so well with and without the ball and was very smooth. Unfortunately it was during an era where not many games were televised.

Sounds like Layman is being a real pro and taking it all in stride. I hope Stotts sticks with him through cold stretches. He has shown to be a solid contributor over the span of 10 games.

Layman is not a shooting guard and without a secondary ball handler in the lineup teams will go hard after Lillard to get the ball out of his hands.
It’s not about having ball handlers, it’s about having guys that can pass the ball. Nurkic and A.D. are both plus facilitators. Besides, Layman can handle the ball and create better than both Aminu and Moe.
