Isn't the LA in ESPN LA redundant? :)

actually, it was Plumlee for Nurkic and 2/3 of Collins. The other 1/3 was the part that knew how not to foul

This deal wasn’t. But I’m sure there will be a list once the deadline passes.

I honestly don’t know why fans keep giving him the benefit of the doubt. He doesn’t deserve it.

I would agree if DeAndre was on a long term, friendly deal. In his current situation he is going to be bought out anyway.

Smith is fine but they could have just picked him ahead of Ntilikina who has basically turned out to be the exact player everybody expected him to be.

I said SINCE Nurkic. And if your best example is a rookie on a playoff team (who was expected to be a project anyway) then you’re only helping my case.

The bad contracts are actually better than nothing. They would have been helpful in this scenario......if they ended this year. If you don't have any then you can't trade them for the big deals. You either have a bad contract or be well below the cap to absorb other contracts.

Maybe, like sending CJ to Orlando and getting them to send Ross and another expiring to New York while throwing Collins at Knicks to match Smith... not really that realistic and seems like Knicks just traded Porzingis at their first opportunity anyway.

Dallas have really done amazing business in the last 8 months.

If nothing happens by the deadline and a bunch of other teams make some Blockbusters then I'll grab a pitch fork and join you. Not going to get emotional over Porzingis. Its the trade to break the dam. Let's see what happens. You don't have to be too patient, its only 7 days.

Why buy him out? It ends in two months anyways. If they want to tank then I would trade him now. But he and KD are supposed to be good friends so maybe they try to resign him on the cheap.....if they can get KD

Yeah I know that. But in terms of player acquisition it's like a snail's pace. It'll get us a pick or another pick we can flip down the line. Whereas several teams can flip multi-player deals over a good chunk of their roster regularly.

yeah, it's going to be infuriating if the Knicks waive Jordan and he signs with Golden State for a minimum deal
