The reports are he's going to sign the QO which is about $7.5 million. I'll believe that if it actually happens though.

Shows you how much all these NBA "Insiders" know. Not a WORD about Porzingis to Dallas and then bam, trade proposed and any minute a done deal.

Ya, Dallas is gonna throw 150 mil at him and have him on a squad that has some serious potential with Luka. No way he walks from that.

Unless he fires his agent and signs with Rich Paul.

The picks going back to NY are:

    2021 1st Unprotected

    2023 1st Top-10 Protected

I like this deal a little more for the Knicks now than I did earlier. I wonder what they'll do if they strike out in free agency?

If Porzingis returns healthy and resigns the Mavs are gonna be very good for very long. I’m not a Cuban guy but he’s got a sack, I’ll give him that. I like this for Dal.

Philadelphia already interested in Matthews if he opts out with the Knicks...

Depending on his injury and he takes time off next year as well, that could be a disaster for Mavs if he signs the QO. I agree that doesn't seem likely. Maybe a 1 or 2 year contract with another year with a player option, then go for the big one.

I’m ok if we at least get Randle or Mirotic.

I wish we just got Porzingis. Most players come back full strength from that injury nowadays.

There’s nothing we could’ve offered that would’ve matched Dallas. New York wants cap space.

But I’ll say this; if our roster looks the same headed into the playoffs as it does now, we’re getting smoked..again. Olshey has no excuses. Team is winning. Give them some god damn help.

It has also been almost a year and still not on the floor. That is also a little unusual.

He's making like $5.7 million this year so that's obviously wrong. The QO would never be less than the final year.

Can you imagine Blazer fans if Neil traded decent assets for an injury prone 7'3" center/stretch 4, who while sitting out a year with a torn ACL demanded a trade because he wasn't happy?
Keep in mind he has only played 3 years in the NBA and is already demanding things. On top of that he is a Euro who could always go back after his contract was up.
I don't think Neil would win many fans with that either.

I'm not an Olshey fan, but this time he had good reason to hunker in his bunker.

We don’t know that. We’re a very good team. Playoff success will depend on matchup.
