hah, interesting move, given how Nik fell off and Wade never played a good move. Now we have more size at SG and he's a career 36-37% 3 pt shooter. I think he plays solid D? anyone have more on that?
Good value! I’m sorry that Nik didn’t work out. He seemed like he really wanted to be here and had a strong start. He showed some flashes and had some good chemistry with Zach. Unfortunately for all parties, his shooting faded and ultimately got beat out by Jake. Wade, thanks for some inspiring defense on James Harden for a few good minutes and being the leader on that title winning summer league team. Aside from that, I’m not sure he had a role on this team. Hood can have a nice role here if used properly. I hope it works out well and maybe this is a precursor to some bigger moves in the next few days.
I like it too. I was somewhat wrong about how good he would be when he played for Utah. (When he dominated us in a preseason game) but none the less I still like his game.
Say hello to our new starting 2 guard once CJ is traded for AD... Mostly kidding. But seriously, I wanted Hood at last years deadline. Seems like his focus and attitude have been his main problem and I believe in Dame enough to think that won’t be an issue in PDX. Overall, I really like the move considering what we gave up.
IMHO, Baldwin will end up as the best player in this trade. 4 years younger than Hood While an upgrade, for sure, it keeps us average. HOPEFULLY they move CJ for something
I'm a little saddened by losing Baldwin, I hope he succeeds in the league. I like his game (tho I was disappointed in his play this year). I'm ambivalent about Stauskus.
Blazers get rid of two players who weren't going to contribute, for 1 player that might. Portland already has traded their 2019 & 2020 2nds away Blazers added about 250K in salary and 440K in luxury tax
