I have had cockatiels for 18 years and think they are great. Each has it's own personality. At one point I had 14 of them (by natural circumstances) My oldest one is 18 years old (Monty). My cousin used to raise cockatiels. That was a long time ago. He was into animals and had some amazing tropical fish tanks. He was within one term of getting his BS degree in biology but dropped out. Dumbest thing I've ever seen him do and that includes marrying his now ex wife.
