We don't actually have his bird rights. But I doubt he would get a contract bigger than the MLE anyways.
Bgd is for big moves and trading young talent. He is mocking those that value potential in young players that some want to hold onto, in his opinion, for too long, because they might turn into something.
Unless he turns things around the last 30 game, he won't get the full MLE even. He was unsigned until very late in the summer this past year. He's inconsistent and had a minor controversy last season when he refused to enter a game in the last minute of garbage time.
David MacKay @DavidMacKayNBA 2 minutes ago Rodney Hood can ball and has too long been a victim of circumstance. Traded from Utah to Cleveland so Donovan Mitchell could take the reins, then Cleveland went from contender to lottery when LeBron James left. Strong addition by a Portland front office I'm typically critical of.
This is pretty neat, essentially two future second rounders for Hood. He would’ve been much more expensive last year on the Jazz when people were asking for him. I’m pretty happy with this, plus the fact that we cleared a roster spot and still have out first has me interested in what else we have planned
This is going to sound sooooo dumb, but I like that we have a lefty again. Haven’t had one worth a shit since Mighty Mouse and Zbo.
He existed in Olive for many years before this forum and his shtick was the same then. I think hoopsjock was the one that called him a bot and it seems appropriate.
So right now Terry is starting Harkless at SF and bringing Jake off the bench. We know he is not going to bench ET so assuming we do not make anymore trades, I think the only way Hood gets playing time is for Harkless and Aminu to both play the PF spot. So Jake needs to start. I would start Dame, CJ, Jake, Aminu and Nurk and bring in Curry, Hood, ET, Hark and Collins of the bench. Meyers has been playing well but either he or Collins is the odd man out IMO. I would alternate them depending on the opponent.
