I think he deserves every bit of shit talking he gets. Man up and use it as motivation.

You can't always get what you want. Crying about it doesn't bring it into fruition.

Squaring your shoulders and attacking life does.

    Here's the thing:

For the most part you can choose how you feel about things. But sometimes it's really hard to do that. Him choosing sadness is one thing.

The actions afterward can ALWAYS be chosen.

So, for him to choose crying and saying dumb shit like it's a "disrespect to the game" that he wasn't chosen, makes me have NO sympathy for his tears.

Just because he cried doesnt mean he wont man up and get after it. They arent mutually exclusive. So what, he was emotional shortly after something happened. This is the one year anniversary of my brother dying (I got the phone call at 8:10am on 2/3/18). I cried a couple days after, didnt mean I wasnt going to man up and go take care of his business... I realize that someone dying and an all star game isnt the same.
My point is that we all have emotions and sometimes they get the best of us, theres still plenty of time for him to go prove he deserved it. Also having times of emotional “weakness” doesnt keep one from squaring there shoulders and attacking life.
I absolutely get the criticism that his teams success should mean way more than his ASG appearances and that his values seem off from a fan perspective, but heck he can value and have emotional investment in whatever he wants. I mean I find his reaction to not being voted in strange yes, and Im glad Dame reacted differently but I dont know, I find it hard to attack someone for being emotional.

This is clearly a perspective thing. No one should be ashamed of getting emotional when discussing one's family or being emotional/disappointed that hard work hasn't paid off. Clearly he knows how to square his shoulders and fight. He's an NBA player and from France of all places! Hard work and an extraordinary amount of confidence has gotten him to this point...

The idea of saying he "choose" to cry when he's talking about his mother and all the disappointment is some jaded, robot shit, man. You alright?

It does kind of suck to be deserving of recognition of a personal accomplishment like that and to not get it. It also hurts that he lost a $1 million bonus. I'd be pissed too if I deserved to get a $1000 bonus and someone less deserving was nominated for some work related thing instead.

I really don't care if he cried or not. I don't like people making fun of him for it though. Everyone handles things differently. Sure the better response would be to let his play do the talking but there is nothing preventing him from doing that still now that he cried. I don't think he deserves the comments from idiot whiners like Draymond Green.

Guys let's not act like I'm saying crying is weak and men shouldn't do it. I'm not saying anything like that.

But crying over "not making all stars" reminds that whiny kid we wanted our kid to grow out of.

    He said some outlandish shit.

Disrespect to "him, the organization, the fans, the game"??

And please... Let's not let this be the narrative:

He said his mother caught him crying....

So no, I don't have much sympathy for the guy that cries to his mother when things don't go his way...

Someone once told me. "Always be wary about people who give out to many compliments. They always have an angle." I've found that to be true a lot of the time.

And this is why boys and young men bottle up their emotions until they cant any longer, and then they explode.

Due to their egos expectations, I mean ET knows he's an excelent player, Draymond should be more priced for what he's doing for GS and IT MVP caliber player, their tweets seem to be bit emotional as well.

This is the very core of the bullying problem. One person gets bullied and responds by bullying the next in line.

Pretend like I'm right next to you saying it, with my normal vernacular.

Is it offensive or disrespectful now bones? C'mon... Had we been in each other's presence and you heard my inflection, you wouldn't be taking offense to it. It's very tongue in cheek.

    Lighten up a bit.

It's really just ribbing that people are making like it's over the top because of "The Donkey".

When humans are babies, we cry for every single thing we need. That's normal. However, a good parent coaches that shit out or deals with it forever.

Rule: You don't get what you cry for.

That's a hard and fast rule in my home. You whine for something you get the opposite of what you whine for.

You reward your kid with what they want when they whine and cry for it and you'll have a whiny crybaby for a kid.
