Uh yes, Olshey has made a number of such brilliant offers, ruining other teams instead of his own team with his signing choices. Devious, cunning...Olshey is known as the swashbuckling Zorro of GMs. (Olshey, is that you?) Wrong again. Zach's PER last season was 17.3. He'd be our best substitute by far, and cover our biggest weakness now that Hood has covered our SF weakness. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/randoza01.html
Not really. Zach Randolph is a clown that needs to stay with the Mavs. Obviously the Lowly Kings didn't value him much as well as the Grizz. We all know he is a complete waste of time and space here in Portland. You seem to be short on memory. Olshey made a good move by making the Thunder match. Sorry you can't see that. But it's very true.
I agree, I’m not really into old dudes who play below the rim. Plus if Zach isn’t good enough for BRoy he ain’t good enough for Dame either.
He just does not fit this team at all and he would not benefit from being here. But most of all i agree with you. He ain't gonna be on Dame's team.
PER is weighted toward production and offense, while BPM gauges impact on both ends of the floor. They are both useful
...another mini upgrade by way of the waiver wire buyout market and this team might just make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs this season, LET'S GO ZERS!
My bad. That was meant for the post directly above yours that was a response to wanting Markief Morris. This one.
And I was referring not to the player (Morris) but to the last part of the past that was quoting Neil mentioning that large markets get the bought out players. Neil, let me know when there is a rush of bought out players to New York, Chicago or even LA anytime soon
After getting over my trade deadline malaise, this pickup needs to become a focus. Top of my list: Rolo/Gortat/Mack/Teodosic I'd take Rolo over Deandre if he becomes available.
I like gortat because he’s a monster screen setter and a good pick and roll player. Don’t know if he’s still got it though I don’t watch clipper games. Teodosic would be another nice pickup.
I would like to see that roster spot filled with a player that could help now. Preferably a big that could cover if there is foul trouble or an injury. So yeah i agree with your premise. Doesn't Jordan cost a bit much anyway?
They're all gonna be prorated veterans minimum. I didn't bother with Neil's interview. Did he mention that he'd be on the lookout?
Any waived player is usually paid around the league minimum because their contract salary is paid by their former team. The 'new team' portion of the salary is then deducted from whatever the contract salary is for the old team. Hope that made sense.
I'm just thinking from the injury perspective. If Dame or Nurk go down with something nagging, who would you trust to play 20 mpg in a few late-March regular season games?
