To be quiet honest you're too nice when you unban people. Either ban and make it perm or don't do it at all. There is no need to 'appease' people with Blazer swag like you attempted to do with the last thread I read you made about banning people. Just do it and move on life is too short. Honestly I really don't care what anyone says you're the only mod on this forum who leaves their own emotion and opinions out of disagreements between members. I've yet to open the last dm sent by @Chris Craig and when I included you in it simply because life is too short. Frankly I've stayed away from this site for this very reason. Volunteer mods who are unable to keep their own emotions out of forced mediation aren't a valued representation of this community. They may say 'oh I'm being un-partial'. But clearly if it can be interpreted in any way as biased for any reason. Then they're not being un-partial. Hell when I dm'd all the mods about toxic behavior coming from one of the long time members of this site. One of the rednames showed exactly how '''''''impartial'''''' he was with his reply. Even tho he agreed with me. You're the only one whos able to consistently do that. It's why I've ignored mods when they quote me as they're just not worth the effort and life is too short. Even when it's just talking about basketball. Edit - shoot is proper english impartial? no un-partial? idk whatever.
Did you not respond at all? Looks like some things are missing? I mean IF you are gonna go public with something private, at least post it complete? (not sure if you did or not) I've been a victim of this, so I know how it feels to have a direct message gone public and have the person making it public twist things around. Just sayin.
I appreciate the kind words but mods can be biased and have opinions when posting about non mod related things. I don't think anyone would fault them for that. I have not seen them be biased or play favorites in any decision or action they have taken as staff. I would say a very good example of that is @Chris Craig's interactions with @Orion Bailey. They are very good friends but have seen Chris go out of his way to be very fair with OB when he's had to act as staff.
I responded to him last night. I have not responded to him today. I did not edit anything from the post(s) he made.
It's the mod related things. When they respond with emotion @ emotion. That is when mods make poor decisions, which makes their moderation ineffective. You're the only one who I've never seen do that. Outside of when a member spoke about your grandson that is. But that to me is understandable. It is not understandable otherwise.
Just an opinion, so please don't take this as disrespect or anything, but I think temporary bans for people to cool off are ok. Sometimes people (including myself) get heated and need a mod to say take a forced break! Just like how I give my kids time out's for throwing tantrums. I don't make them stay in the corner for the rest of their life. I know that analogy breaks apart quickly. Anyways, I liked being bribed with Blazer gear, because I like Blazer gear...
Also, I think some of my posts got deleted last night, but maybe they didn't, also by the time I got to bed last night I was pretty delusional (even more than normal) so maybe they deserved it. Maybe I just dreamed up making those posts too. Sheesh, yesterday was a long day...
Well, who doesn't like Sly. I mean except his mother, grandmother, shrink and priest. Finally, a song about Sly:
But yet many people got shit for giving Blazer4ever shit about shitting on the team and I guess he is in an asylum? So his behavior here is not to be excused by him being in a mental institute is it?
