As self-fancied Board Enforcer, sometimes you stalk someone through threads to provoke him. Tunchi, if HC ever does that to you, just tell him to stick it up his ass.
Sometimes in life you are presented with a decision. On the one hand, you can hold onto anger/resentment/whatever over something trivial (which really man, let it the fuck go) on the other hand, you can progress as a person and realize how petty you've been about something trivial. For me, it was the death of a good friend who made me realize that holding onto these kinds of feelings is an absolute waste of time. Now, I'm not saying everyone and everything is forgiven, but let's be honest here. It's not like John slept with Erics spouse, beat him up, called him all sorts of names, ACTUALLY stole from him or conspired to get him fired (NO Orion, I'm not making this about you)....he didn't pay an alleged bet on a fucking message board. Boo-fucking-hoo. There are people at this place (and people in my real life) that I don't necessarily have an affinity for (@ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP, affinity basically means liking someone or something), but I don't care enough to block them or hold any sort of serious feelings about them. To quote that old British spiritual... When I find myself in times of trouble, SlyPokerDog comes to me, speaking words of wisdom: Let it be. And in my hour of darkness he is editing right in front of me, typing words of wisdom, let it be Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be typing words of wisdom..let it be!
Welching on a bet of $100 will anger some of us for sure. After a week it should be an afterthought and a reminder to never make a bet with that person again. The friendship can continue knowing that and moving on. However, in today's social media circus, taking it to twitter and escalating it was not the road to take IMO. I made a bet with a friend. I won and he didn't pay. However, I got over my anger after several days and we continued our friendship. And betting is not a part of it anymore. We've rebuilt the trust we lost in that one minor moment.
I went to shake a friend's hand once when I met him on the street, and he went for a high-five instead. It was awkward and unforgivable. I haven't spoken to him since, and I'm thinking of burning his house down. barfo
I have the perfect solution. I will pay HCP's debt to KingSpeed. King, contact me for your free hundred dollars.
He welched out on a $1000.00 bet with me. Care to cover that as well? Don't worry about a link for proof, it was edited. Just be safe in knowing you now owe me $1000.00
I was solely referencing his species, not his gender. I only use the word "bitch" in reference to dogs.
Let's compromise on a middle point. How about $2.99, F.O.B. Bellingham. You guys all know accounting terms, don't you?
