Yeah, like in any acquisition it would definitely depend on the cost. If we could get him for Turner and along with someone like Leonard and a future pick. It gets the spurs out of Aldridge contract a year earlier and they could maybe sign Leonard if he pans out and start their rebuild.

Some more drama in a couple of threads, eh? This is what I get when I leave the forum for a few hours to work on the house and go for a run.

I should do that more often! :biglaugh::bwpopcorn:

Ya had me until you said turner. They might be willing to take one mediocre to bad contract, but not two, im thinking.

I think it woukd require turner, collins, a pick or two and possibly harkless or leonard.
Im not in favor of getting rid of collins for him when aminu will be gone. Collins i think is the future of to play along nurk.
Were talking about a stipgap that makes us a contender until collins takes that spot from him.

Hey platy, tell your wife that she's "acting like a" bitch and see how that goes.

If telling someone they're "acting like" an asshole isn't against forum rules, it should be or I'm about to work that exploit to DEATH.

Aldridge, to this DAY still can't drive from the top of the key and finish at the rim.

And he still has no left hand.

    Folks need to stop...

Sure but Id say this, there are very few guys on the planet who could average 20+ ppg in the NBA we know Aminu cant, LMA has proven he can.
LMA is a better offensive player then Chief.

Its easy to point out flaws in LA’s game, but people literally point at flaw’s in Lebrons, MJ’s, and others who are way better then Aldridge ever was or will be. Chief has a lot of flaws too.

Can Chief go left and pull up and shoot?

You are wasting your breathe. @dviss1 allows his hate for LA leaving to cloud his common sense. Doesn't matter what he says, we would be WAY better with him, but he will never acknowledge that.

Sure Chief can go left... he "left" it on the court and kicked it across the trainwreck tracks.....

    You knew how?

My mom has a Sears portrait of me at like 6 months old and I look like I'm trying to kill someone with telekinesis.

You're not a fan of chemistry?

Do you like when a player takes his own flight home after sucking in the playoffs?

Do you like when a player holds a grudge for years because he doesn't think someone invited him out to lunch on a road trip?

Do you like when a player whines behind the scenes that someone else is getting more attention?

Do you like that team employees had to walk on eggshells around him so he never perceived some stupid slight?

I really hope he's changed for the better, but it would still be a risk to bring him back thinking he had changed his mannerisms and that there would be no fall off in his game.

The best team the Blazers have had since Clyde was put together by a GM who is well qouted as not being a Chemistry major. I dont like how the LMA stuff went down, but if him and Dame are actually friends now, I think the chemistry of the team would be different.

Even if he was still the exactly the same, its hard to tell if the bad Chemistry would really hurt them in terms of winning. All those things you mentioned and they were the 2nd best team in the west most of the year before all the injuries happened.

Im good if people say we dont want him because of how things happened when he was here. My opinion is that right now he’d be an upgrade at the 4, it would be a bandaid though as he is on the tail end of his career and in a year or two he might not be an upgrade.

If you say that you can't stand him, pissed for him leaving Portland or don't like his attitude, that's one thing but to act like he isn't a very talented player on the floor leads me to believe you haven't seen him play much this year or your bias has gotten the best of you. I'm not worried about his play on the court but more about what the cost would be to acquire him and if the Spurs even are willing to deal. Those are the only questions I have as I want more talent for this team. A lineup of Nurkic, Aldridge, Harkless, McCollum and Lillard can compete with pretty much any team.
