Seriously... I have tried holding a conversation on numerous threads with my phone and have been so jumbled i totally lost track of conversation. I will give you a pass this time. But in the future put the phone down and drive.

Yeah, there are very few guys ON THE PLANET who can average 20 ppg. But there are a TON of players in the NBA who can average 20 ppg, if given the chance.

Also, if my choice for PF is solely limited to LA or Aminu just kill me now. Both of them can fuck off.

I've never thought he was that talented. WHILE he was here.

He makes horrible decisions on defense constantly switching onto the ballhandler.

His deficiencies always have been present.

I've ALWAYS called him soft and I've never liked his game.

I'll let my posting history BEFORE he left stand.

    We don't need him.

See now you're acting like an asshole!!
    :biglaugh:

That's an easy choice. I'd pick Griffin. He's just a far better player.

Yeah an all rookie, 7x all star and 5x all NBA player probably wouldn't help us at all I guess. We will just have to agree to disagree on this.

I'm glad. Because you can check my history. I've always had this stance and the SOFT MF only reinforced it by

    QUITTING ON MY TEAM...

Now you can stop assuming that I have this stance because he quit on us.

No, that just REINFORCED my opinion of that SOFT, SELFISH, WEAK MINDED BITCH.

OK, so you have never thought he was talented then. That is entirely your right to that opinion even though it goes against the majority of people in the NBA. I want more talent on my team. Have a good day dviss.

    Lets make it harder.

    Who would you ratyher have?

LMA by giving up Collins, Turner, Leonard and a pick

    or

BG by giving up CJ, Collins and picks

I think thats what it would take for either.

So he became talented while he was with the Spurs then? Gotcha.

Talent is not a yes or no option. there are various levels of talent, even in the NBA.
    Scrubs/end of bench/gleague players
    role players
    starters
    stars
    all stars
    superstars

Sometimes experience is a factor in a player moving from one category to another, but by and large talent is talent and is a range

So when someone (like @dviss1 made crystal clear) that a player is less talented than others thought, it doesn't mean the poster says he isn't talented. degrees man, degrees.

This is where your conversation skills muddy things up and I don't care if its about you or the post because it is you who makes the post and its a conversation, so technically, i'm commenting on the post and not the poster.

You turned and first said, "so you are saying he has no talent?" Then when he reaffirmed his clear statement, you twisted it further into him saying "so he became talented with the Spurs?"

This is why people complain about your conversation skills. He never said either of those things, but your post is putting words into his mouth.

You post like this very often and it is the cause of most conversations derailing.

If your posts would stop trying to twist other people's posts into something they didn't say, then your posts would not endure such scrutiny.

And @CupWizier I say what I said above as a positive believe it or not. When you are NOT posting that way, you are a great person to converse with.

Oh boy here we go again. First, by your own list of talent, Aldridge is at minimum at the second highest level and being a 5 time all NBA player and a 7 time all star could make him borderline superstar as well. Second, it appears you are the one twisting words as I am just trying to understand what dviss is saying in regards to Aldridge thus the dialogue we have had going till you decided to interject for whatever reason and once again blame me. I think it would best to have him define what he meant rather than you make up something that doesn't really make much sense.

Here is what dviss said at one time I guess as I couldn't find that in his replies, but maybe I missed it.

Again. Saying someone doesnt think he is that talented is not the same as saying he has no talent.

You are right about one thing though...here we go again....

Exactly. He's effective when they choose to double. Just stay at home and make him make a shot. He might actually be a downgrade from Aminu. I know no one will believe that, but I believe it's the truth. There is more to basketball than PER and usage. He is certainly a downgrade when you consider all his additional baggage. I would take Aminu a million times without a second thought over LA.
