It's not the same, but I have torn an ACL and also had my ankle hit by a car, broken in 8 places, and turned backwards.

The knee has never been the same, but the ankle was "just" bones and has been fine ever since it healed. It helped that I was young like Nurk at the time.

Get better big guy. You have given us hope. We're with you. #RipCityUnited.

That all sounds encouraging but how does he know that it is just a fracture? Or is he guessing?

Man I saw that ref kick/trip over nurk after he got hurt just now, intentional or not punishment needs to be handed down. but in a league were being shit at your job is the normal, probably nothing will happen. Keep on being trash NBA!

None of us know shit, that leg sleeve could be holding his leg on for all we know. I really like Nurk and he’s made huge strides this year, but mostly this sucks because he’s the kinda teammate I like having on teams I root for.

My uneducated guess is a tib/fib break, way too low for a knee and appeared too high for any ankle damage. I went back and looked at the PG and GH injuries and it looked very similar to the PG minus the protruding bone that PG had. Bottom line, this fucking sucks.

In an alternate universe, Russell hits that prayer 3 and I'm yelling at Stotts but the next day I wake up fine.

I know tomorrow I'm gonna wake up in awful state.

Whelp, this sucks a LOT. For nurk most of all. I wish him all the best.

To the collateral, this means we have the built in excuse to keep it as status quo. To that, I am not a fan. I hope we still shake things up from coach to gm to Meyers and Evan.

Looked too high up for ankle. But I didn't look at it much. And I don't want to see it again.

Man, sometimes it feels like being a Blazer big man is just like being a drummer in Spinal Tap.

I watched it several times just now in slow mo back aNd forth. His whole foot and lower shin folded completely back and under for a moment.

As soon as he got it back straight, I could see it was a full break an inch or two below halfway down the calf. I could see the break and looks to be a slanted break. Meaning, i dont think it broke in half at a 90* angle, but more like a splinter or more like a 110*-130* break.

I have no clue, but my assumption would be that will be harder and take longer to heal completely.

Im gonna go back to my tear shack now.

So sorry Nurk. Dame is our leader but you were our savior.

The timing of these injuries is kind of unbelievable, I blame Charles and Kenny.

This is that sports talk radio host who is also a surgron right? I’d feel better if all this positivity was coming from someone that had actually examined the injury.

Mactually this is true and common.

Most clean breaks heal stronger than before. Plants do this too. Break a branch of a plant then use popsicle sticks to splint it. Eventually it will heal, grow and be larger and stronger in the break area.

That's going to take a hell of a lot of Popsicle sticks to heal Nurk.

    We better get busy licking.
