Should I want Utah to lose to make it harder for them to catch Portland, or should I want the Lakers to lose because they are the Lakers?

Lakers are eliminated, we want them to beat the Jazz.

Lakers may be out of it, but as Duckworth said, I don't care if they play little high school boys, they are still the Lakers.

Not sure about that second one. A MIL win would push LA to either 6 or 7, and reduce the likelihood of us facing them in the first round.

Yeah it starts to get tricky. I know I want Houston and OKC to continue to lose, but Utah, Clips, and SA are a tough call right now. You don't want them getting close to Portland, but you don't want them moving back to 7 or 8 either

I'm undecided on #1. I've been crowing for a while about Denver's tough schedule, so I'd kind of like for them to prove me right by losing about 5-6 of their final 9 games.

We don’t just want everybody behind us or Houston to lose right? There are a certain couple matchups that would favor us in our current situation. I don’t need teams just to lose to secure those.

In all seriousness, in our current situation, do you see any other realistic result outside of the Blazers facing the Jazz in the 4/5 matchup?

In all seriousness in our current situation... We will be very lucky to extend a serious to 6 games vs anybody. I mean Im hoping they find a way to win a series but I dont think its likely.

I figure the best we can do is face the clippers in the first round. OKC has smoked us this year, Utah is tough with Gobert, Pop and the Spurs are never an easy out. We have done ok against the Clippers so thats my hope but Utah second, then SA, then OKC

We know the 8 teams in the playoffs but the rest is too jumbled to start trying to plan for certain things to go our way regarding match-ups. That is why I'm always in favor of just taking care of your own business and letting the other pieces fall. The Blazers need to secure HCA though so teams behind them losing helps to get closer to accomplishing that.

The Spurs trailing the Cavs in the second half? Crazy. Kevin Love appears to be outplaying Lamarcus so far.
