Sorry to hear it @hcp - that sucks - but if it is not a lot of damage - it will be fine. There used to be a body shop on route 8 in Beaverton that did fine job for me years ago - right before where the Toyota dealership was across the road (can't remember the name, sorry). One of my first vehicles when I was a teenager was a 1951 Jeep CJ3A that I bought for cheap because the steering rack was messed up. It basically turned only right - so left turns had to be done in 3 rights. Drove it to a shop that was going to fix it for me - left it with them and was told the next day that someone broke in and stole it. It was never recovered but insurance did pay for it and later that money was used to help buy a CJ6.
Damn! I love that A7! If the person hit you from behind, isnt it their fault? Wont their insurance cover the damage? You should call Sunset Audi and see what body shops they recommend.
Yes, the person behind is nearly always at fault. You'd have to say that the car in front was backing up for it to be the other way around.
I can think of several rental vehicles that I have driven where that would have been a perfectly reasonable decision.
I rear-ended someone while driving from Ft. Campbell, KY back to the car lot in Clarksville, TN with the final paperwork.
I've used Highlight Auto Body at 111th and Division several times. They've always taken good care of me.
Christmas eve...late 70s...I had just bought another 300 dollar Dodge Dart while my truck was in the shop to get to a gig...couldn't transfer the insurance on a holiday, risked it because the gig was important and drove it anyway ...sure enough going about 58 in the slow lane on I 80 west around Sacramento I look in the rear view mirror and see two long ribbons of light....drunk driver hit me in the trunk (filled with instruments) ...pushed my car like a slingshot down the road...totaled..completely..steering wheel like a pretzel in my hands..band members bleeding in the back seat...dazed I remember a highway patrolman giving me a breath test...didn't even tow the car off the road or offer assistance..drunk driver went to jail...he was clocked at 136 in the slow lane. Hired a lawyer for more than the car cost and the guy surrendered his license and I just lost the whole shebang ….Merry Xmas story of my life. Also instilled a lifelong hatred for drunk drivers. Good old steel Dodge Dart trunk probably saved our lives that night. Lost a really nice black and gold Les Paul Custom and of course...the gig
That is tragic, but I'm glad everyone made it out alive. RIP your Les Paul. I recently had a friend break the headstock off my Les Paul I was letting him borrow. White and gold. Not gonna lie, I she'd a tear when he told me.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm shedding a tear right now. Oh, people, people, not that way, I'm dicing onions.
That sucks man. Glad that worked out for you. Ya, it's always a bit nerve racking when you get a used car. I'm lucky that my brother is a mechanic on the vehicle i was purchasing. Took it to him and he hooked his super computer up to it and everything came back perfect. Is your new car a hybrid?
Really FAMS! After everything that happened between me and your wife.....this is how you are going to roll? How are my kids by the way? #BAM
I worked at Tek near there for many years. Later I used that little grade school converted to a Parks Dep't. building (Cedar Hills Recreation Center) to get my aerobic exercise doing step bench aerobics and weight lifting. The parks dep't. building is right across Cedar Hills Blvd. from Cedar Park Middle School. I remember when Cedar Hills Crossing shopping center was an airport for small planes back in the 50s.
