How do you feel about home-and-away series during the regular season?

Poll closed Apr 11, 2019.
  1. Love 'em. The competition/rivalry is more fierce & fun playing 2 straight against the same team.

    18.4%
  2. I like 'em. It adds some intrigue and interest to an otherwise long season.

    18.4%
  3. Meh. No opinion either way

    44.9%
  4. I don't really like them. They don't add much to a regular season game.

    6.1%
  5. Hate 'em. I don't like seeing the same team again so soon. And these seem to always end in a split.

    12.2%

It's for only 30 minutes? What a lazy bum. It's no wonder the team has never made it past the 1st round with him (not counting the 2 years they did), or that he's never made All NBA, or the All Star Team, or that players who actually play against him never heap praise on him.

Trade him for (insert older, worse PG here)

Yeah great point bro. Durant won with 7th in MPG, so if we just get 5 all stars like the warrior we will be good with Dame at his current mediocre-condition.

“And where are the stats to prove that players who average the 6th most minutes per game get swept in the first round?”

How about the fact that Lillard has never led us out of the first round?

I’ve seen him do this at least a dozen times. I’ve never seen him do even a moderate pre-game warmup - at most he throws up a few threes. He sits on the bench and jokes around before the game. That’s not leadership. Our entire team is sloppy before the game: that’s why we often get off to slow starts in the first and third.

You call 30 min of shooting around an extensive pre game? Steve Nash would spend hours. It showed.

Thanks for the offer, I would actually love to do that, but I don’t live in Portland anymore.

One year was with Aldridge leading the team. The other year was when Blake Griffin and Chris Paul we’re injured.

These are the sort of feats you celebrate when you have nothing.

Notice how I never said trade Dame. He’s my second favorite player, I’m just not drinking kool aid and pretending he doesn’t need to go to another level to have any chance of winning a ring.

Interesting how you have a rule against “insults” but not passive-aggressive mockery like this.

Give credit where credit is due they play great defense against him and the ones he made was earn it wasn't that he didn't try to make things happen he also had 8 assist so he was doing other things on offensive trying to help us win.

You can't even keep your own bullshit straight.

You claimed Dame doesn't play enough minutes to lead the team to anything other than a 1st round sweep. Where is the correlation between minutes played and playoff success?

Of course you can't answer that and will just switch your argument to something different.

Again, I didn’t say he was a bum.

The fact remains that his shooting was atrocious, and players that warm up more pre game tend to have far fewer atrocious-shooting nights.

Dame takes a lot of pre games off. He will spend a lot of time when he is playing in front of his home in Oakland, he will hardly spend any time prepping for games like this that he expects to lose.

My argument is Dame needs to be in better condition.

He’s in good condition, he is not in elite condition. He’s not playing Rip Hamilton or Kobe Bryant minutes. He’s playing roughly average minutes, and in those minutes he takes a lot of plays off. He looks atrocious in virtually every back to back game.

I think he needs to improve his work ethic. Phil Jackson wouldn’t let Shaq rap. While I’m ok with Dame doing what he wants, I think rapping is at least somewhat of a sign of lack of focus. His songs are all about how much he has succeeded in life, yet he hasn’t led us out of the first round once (vs a non-injured team).

Dame needs to step it up, his attitude is WAY too laid back, this won’t change when people praise him over him scoring 9th in PPG then getting swept in the first round of the playoffs...

This is just my opinion. I’m sick of arguing with you. Relax.

No but I’ve seen Kobe and Nash warm up pre game, and they warm up more for regular season games than Dame does in the playoffs.

The only time I’ve seen Dame warm up extensively is at Oakland... I wonder why
