I agree, as I stated I'm more of a pass first guy anyway so I'd much rather play a real game than one on one.

However we're practicing for a 3 on 3 tournament so one on one is closer to that than full court five on five.

I can stop you easily! You cant guard me out past 15 feet. Too quick. You got next. I need a REAL battle, and someone who can satisfy my competitive cravings.

Because in a normal game setting, you usually will only need three dribbles or so to break down a defense, and using more than that is worse for the team and allows help side defense to dig/double/etc.

When scoring 1 on 1 in the halfcourt in a real game, you only should use 3 dribbles.

That rule cuts out the 15 second isolation dribble ove cheese and the back someone under the basket for 15 seconds stuff.

Once? You remember the 5 times I let you breeze by as I snapped a quick behind the back?

Or how about the time your ankles almost turned to dust?!

You couldve walked into layups on some of those cuts, but you're scared of the interior!

Dont talk shit about my passing when you wont give me good passing opportunities!

I mean it’s whatever, you just gotta negotiate and agree to rules first hand. Idk about normal games and 3 dribbles. If youre a PG you need to take a lot more than 3 dribbles.

To get in a team based offense, yes. But Im talking about scoring 1-on-1 in the halfcourt.

Most college coaches I know would institute a 3-dribble rule whenever wed play king of the court.

Personally I think 3 dribbles is a bad rule. I can see the argument for it. Ive never cared much for 1v1 or 1v1v1 stuff so maybe its just that.

Now that I have a second, I wanted to say, for those that are internet skeptical, I can attest that Bones is objectively really good at basketball. I also want to add that hoopsjock is my favorite type of big man to play with; if you cut, he'll reward you, and if you miss a shot, he'll get the rebound. We should make this a regular thing.

It teaches how to make the most of your dribbles, and to use triple threat, which is why I like it.

But when I take one dribble, then cross you over breaking your ankles, and have a wide open lane to the hoop I shouldn't be limited to one more dribble to get from the 3 point line to a lay-in. I'm not Giannis.

I really don't want to win just backing you down every time, then it would simply come down to who had the ball first if you're hitting shots too. I've got finesse to my game too. It just seems like you're scared trying to limit what I can do offensively.

Im not trying to limit you, I'm trying to make you use skill instead of backsown cheese.

But if you wont use backdown cheese, then no problem.

I don't think you have to worry about @hoopsjock pulling something like this.
