I think in terms of recovery time he may be, but Nurk’s leg should be fine, and he probably will be seen sometime next season, how effective he’ll be is questionable, it’ll take time for him to play his way back.

am I correct in remembering that last yr Nurk played "lighter" at 265-270 lbs and this yr he was back to 290? Given this injury I wonder if it might be best to get back to 270 at least? Announcers often said 290 for Nurk on broadcasts this yr - any feedback on that?

I just found this from Sep of 2017:
"It sounds crazy, 34 pounds," Nurkic said. "But I'm still 270. So, I'm still a strong dude.
To drop weight, Nurkic stayed in Portland for much of his summer, working out at the Blazers practice facility daily in July and August before returning home to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a few weeks just before training camp opened. He said most of the weight loss came from hard work and ramped up cardio, but he also cut sugar out of his diet for nearly two months, slimming down as he enters a contract year in what will be his first full season with the Blazers."

Oh I firmly believe Nurk will be better and stronger than ever but, 5 months?

I don't know. He gained weight back and had his best season this year. He was off when he lost weight. He didn't play as well.

Nurk is better at 290 than 270. He returned to "Beastmode" this season. Last year he was too finesse.

I'm more curious about his health in terms of bone mineral density.

It will take time but I think Nurk will be fine. We just need to get into the playoffs and then we can beat anybody if we’re healthy.

We probably wont have Kanter, Hood or Seth, i'm not sure about that. But lets see what Neil does in the offseason. I have been impressed by him in 2019

The 20 lbs of extra weight didn’t have anything to do with the break, it was the angle of his leg(bones) when he landed.

That literally had nothing to do with his weight.

    Zero.
