Well Quick is partially right in which the Blazers can go over the cap to sign the guys he mentioned. There is just a limit as to how much they can offer Hood while they can offer Aminu and Layman anything.

But Hood gave up his Bird rights altogether to sign here. So there is that little aspect also.

Hence me saying Quick is "partially" right.

We won't have 4 in the playoffs. One will probably be injured. That one will probably be Blake.

    5 years straight.

Ain't no WAY we should trade away youth or picks for him.

Those three words defeat any argument you have.

    5 years straight ain't no coincidence. It's more than a trend. It's a condition.

And therefore an issue and an inevitability.

You know where I stand on Blake and why.

He will be broken when it counts.

Unless Orlando pulls a Clippers, Toronto/Orlando series will be tied.

Denver in trouble but there’s no lead that’s safe in the playoffs.

I usually leave that stuff to people with time to get and stay good at it. I used to know all the ins and outs but you got to stay on top of it. Too much work. More fun to watch. Hope Rodney has a good game and he stays good. So good he prices himself out of here. Let Neil worry about the rest right?

If Jokic lost some weight and toned up would he be an even better player or does he use his size to his advantage?

yeah, about 4.1M; Curry's non-Bird will be a shade under 3.4M IIRC. I'd think both could get more but maybe the sheer number of FA's this summer will keep the bidding down a bit

He needs to get in better shape. Nurk has an advantage over Jokic in that he’s in better condition. Too bad we won’t see Nurk in the playoffs this cuz I think he would have been a big star.

    Serious question here.
Do NBA teams use people to come into games and sit in seats? Kind of like they do at awards shows?
Last night in particular there was an empty seat next to me. I was behind the Blazer bench up a bit. Not directly behind. After the game started maybe halfway through the first quarter an Asian gentleman came and sat in the seat. Everyone in the area was clapping cheering yelling and reacting to plays. This guy sat there and looked at his phone the entire game texting. He didn't say one word the entire game. When everyone else was standing he was sitting there completely oblivious to what was happening. He was not with the people on the other side of him for sure.
I literally wanted the guy to leave. I was giving high fives to everyone around me but that dude? Nothing.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
