I feel like you and I are very different people, but I very much enjoy reading your posts! Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face.
Obviously not enough. I still end up having to read your "ego boosting" posts..... HEY Sir, you have a great day! GO Blazers!!!
Why wasn't his post edited immediately? It was an obvious rule break. I called someone a clown the other day and they didn't even have to complain for censorship to happen. And MFs think I get special treatment around here...
Yes. I see no difference than calling someone clown. Yet we're negotiating with him to stop doing it when he knows already... Just edit his shit and tell him why.
I have to apologize to you for all the trolling in the past. Some was me just testing your sarcasm meter...still broken. Anyway, I think it might be too late to bring @Further back but I hope not. I mention this here because it reminds me of "all posters with honorable intentions are welcome" or however it is worded.
I came late into that entire conversation. I saw that other staff had handled it. I wasn't negotiating with him. I asked him a question but also that question needs to be seen by others. It was an unusual situation, buttercup, it's not your standard personal insult. It was offensive to the person being called it. They asked the person using it to stop. And the person who was using it agreed to stop. I think it's a great example of this community with a little help from staff coming together and ending a problem. To go back and edit most of that away would seem to take away a little bit of the progress that I feel was made. Staff playing favorites would mean this was completely ignored by them. It wasn't. It was addressed by staff and a solution was found. I'm sorry that you don't agree with this. I'm sorry that you are offended by this. That is not my intention. We have a few threads and discussions going on about why can't we communicate better with each other. I think this shows that we can.
His post still has not been edited. And frankly the whole "buttercup isn't your standard personal insult" is bull for anyone who has a 3rd grader's reading comprehension. @PtldPlatypus probably has the best vocabulary in here so that doesn't fly. It's easy for any of us in here to see he was using it as a pejorative.
This time around, I am going to enjoy myself here. CONGRATULATIONS @CupWizier , you are the first person (soon to be many) that I am putting on ignore!!!
Yes, and he's said he's not going to use it anymore. I agree that it was being used as an insult. But I see this as a very good example of people resolving a problem by communicating. So much so that in a different thread I saw the person being called buttercup inviting the person who called him one to a Blazer game. That type of resolution is very rare here.
For a guy who has had plenty of issues of your own that still needs work, you sure worry a lot about what I post. In simpler terms, you are trying to continue a issue that was already resolved which makes you a problem. Probably be best if you stay out of my business as I have done for awhile in your business as I seldom respond to any of your posts anymore.
Can I ask you a silly, but honest, question? If someone referred to you "son" in a post, clearly implying that they are superior to you in some way, would you expect that to be edited?
Imma just lay this one here and call bullshit: This certainly isn't happening in my case and I disagree with the coddling. Buttercup has still yet to be edited or deleted and again it's bullshit.
I asked OB multiple times if he wanted me to edit it. He didn't. If the person to whom the word was directed didn't want it edited, why does your opinion matter more than his?
I have a son.... The only one that calls me that is my mother BUT... I know @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP personally and if he said that to me I wouldn't care. The bottom line is everyone knows cup has issues with most in here due to his aggressiveness and abrasive attitude. He and OB aren't really cool and it was obvious that buttercup was used to insult. You edited my use of "clown" (to a CLOWN that is currently banned) the other day and chastised me, saying I know better. Well so does Cup! So this whole "enforcing the rules consistently" isn't happening.
