What a dump compared to this our forum. It's funny memes, pictures, and videos and literally nothing else. No discussion. No debate. If you even try to post something over there that's meant to invoke thoughtful conversation, they downvote it. It's full of sunshine pumping kids who don't know jack shit about basketball. Not going to waste my time over there anymore. This place, for better or worse, is still far superior to that kiddie ball pit.
Probably not many because nobody would see it. It would never make it past the first few downvotes and fade into oblivion.
I think the worst part about Reddit NBA fans as a whole is that they have the knowledge of a casual fan, but the ego of us older assholes on here.
I never go onto reddit... I don't understand the appeal. The layout is atrocious, the thread layout is godawful.
Reddit is mostly a circlejerk. I use it to keep up the news for certain things, but if you're looking for actual discussion you're better off looking somewhere else.
you think r/ripcity is bad, hang around r/nba. Some of the most uninformed, homeristic, "JAMES HARDEN HAD A GOOD GAME, IS HE THE BEST PLAYER EVER?????" and "LEBRON IS A BILLION TIMES BETTER THAN JORDAN" posts you'll ever see. At least the Damian Lillard love was off the charts after "the shot".
Yeah, well you have to realize due to its popularity the user base is generally much younger. A lot of them are also of the "likes = popularity" generation so there's a lot of Karma Whoring or trolling meant to get a reaction out of people.
Reddit is awesome for some communities. I dont have an account or anything. I definitely use it once in a while for work stuff though.
