I guess we'll find out. I don't want to be one to wish harm on another person, but I guess if we're talking about something that has already occurred, perhaps it's OK to say that I hope you're right?I think Durant injured his Achilles and they're lying.
They said he has had it before. They also said he knew what it was when it happened and it kept him from injuring it further.I think Durant injured his Achilles and they're lying.
Aminu had the same calf injury and was out a nearly a month. His reaction was exactly the sameNo ill will here but I have been suspecting the same thing. Not torn achilles but strained. Not the calf. I can't say why just a feeling. The way he reacted just didn't look calf at all.
OK, good call. Like I said, was just a gut feeling probably due to the overreaction of everyone at the time.Aminu had the same calf injury and was out a few weeks. His reaction was exactly the same

Edited my initial post. Aminu was out nearly a month, not just a few weeks. I read recently that the severity of the strain is very important in determining how long they're out. No word on how severe KD's injury is.OK, good call. Like I said, was just a gut feeling probably due to the overreaction of everyone at the time.

What’s the point of lying? I understand why football teams do it, but stotts wouldn’t change his lineup before and he won’t now.
When I tore my calf I didn't look back but I certainly thought I got hit by a truck...EXACTLY! I strained/torn my calf last fall running, and I thought it was cramps, because those injuries aren't sudden like that. I didn't look back like what-just-happened did-a-snake-bite-me as people often do when they injure their Achilles.
To try and maintain an image of strength. They lost two games apiece to the Clippers and Rockets. They are showing cracks. Hearing Durant has an achilles injury and that he will be out longer will embolden the Blazers. Hearing he will be back is an attempt to get into the Blazers's heads.

Meh. I want to Durant to play.
I don’t need anyone saying, “the Blazers only won it all because Durant was injured.”
I know Nurk is out, but I want to beat them as a whole.

it would set a reckless precedence if they lied. Don't think GS works like that.To try and maintain an image of strength. They lost two games apiece to the Clippers and Rockets. I expect the announcers and pundits to talk about Durant's absence nonstop. After we win the series, a lot of people will attach an asterisk. Which is ridiculous because I doubt anyone would give GS an asterisk in consideration of Nurk's, Kanter's, and Hood's injuries. Oh, well.

Why do you think that it was his Achilles?

Nah, I still can't do it. Regardless of how much I dislike Kevin Durant, I hope that they're not lying, and that it's only a calf strain. I do hope, however, that he misses the first two games, and that we're able to secure at least one of them.
Bruh... You know me...
I WANNA BEAT DURANT.
I like to beat teams full strength. IDGAF who we play. I never do. You gotta beat the best to be the best.
I want Durant to play!
At some point every guy that has an Achilles they look back like "who kicked me?".
Durant does that. Plus he's holding beneath his calf. Not his actual calf.
I don't believe them. I think they want us to scheme for Durant being there when he won't be.
