I think we have a long enough body of work on Aminu to know he is not a .21% 3P shooter. I also know that he was our 4th best player in the 1st series (based on game-score) and our 6th best in the 2nd series (better than Moe based on game-score). So, I think what Terry is doing with him (and Moe) is right. Start them - but be ready to let someone else get extended run if they are not performing.
I think this is an excellent point and probably the most important factor. If Warriors go small, which they are likely to do, then if Kanter isn't killing them, we will need Collins playing late in the game.
I would agree that he's not as bad as he has been shooting, but not as good as he was against Golden State several years ago. He needs to do better from the line though. That part is inexcusable.
This team really reminds me of the saying "It takes a village to raise a child"....we're in the WCF....there's NO justification for not cheering on the entire roster, staff, and crew battling the champs...I hope Chief beasts! Go Good Guys!!!!!!!!!!! We've won by committee all season long.
And your opinion of me means absolutely nothing but let's leave the personal insults out of the discussion.
Do you think there are fans who don't cheer the entire team? By that I mean, do you think they're happy when Aminu does poorly?
Interesting.... you thought that was a personal attack? Where did I say that I was talking about you?
Hey @Natebishop3 What happened with Collins who had 5 fouls in the 3rd quarter of that game? Rhetorical. Stotts LEFT HIM IN and he played HUGE down the stretch.
He made the adjustment after we were in a hole. It was an adjustment that should have been made before the game. You can't keep spotting free points to an opponent. If something isn't working, you stop doing it. Eventually it could cost us a series. It's like driving drunk and saying it's fine because you were able to get home safely four times in a row.... but the fifth time you might crash into a tree and kill yourself.
yes..I do as well as the staff....at this point to do that I find pretty redundant but that's just how I approach this kind of success I guess.
Fan is short for fanatic. You have to be a bit of a fanatic to think you could make better decisions than an NBA coach. I think some fans (like most people) want to be correct in their assessments.
Welp, I personally have never cheered against the Blazers..... but I will get frustrated more quickly with certain players or coaches based on past performances.
Holding the title "NBA coach" doesn't mean anything to me. There are plenty of former players who were handed a coaching job and totally bombed. The title alone does not demand respect. I give respect to coaches based on their performance and their track record. I got to see Maurice Cheeks coach. I got to go to the practices and the locker room. He was a horrible coach. Super nice guy. Horrible coach.
First off, when do you need to adjust? When shit isn't working. People complain (you're one of them) that Stotts doesn't know how to adjust. Then when he does, you hammer him for having to adjust... Stop moving the goalposts... 2nd, terrible analogy. We weren't drunk. We were a little tipsy and sobered up mid game. When we did what after he started Hood and Collins? We won...
Aside from the fact that the bolded statement is categorical wrong, I'll repeat once again that I don't know what Stotts game plan is, he won't take my calls. Maybe among other things we'll do what Houston did in game 6 and double Curry more. But hey, if you insist that we're going to give Iggy the same amount of attention as Durant, more power to you. It's not my job to change your mind.
So you responded to my post about someone else? That seems rather odd. So you are saying it wasn't about me?
I didn’t move the goalpost. I said he needed to bench Aminu before the game. We had plenty of evidence based on games 3, 4, and 5. Stotts started Aminu, we got in a big hole, and I criticized him. There was no goal post moving. It was all laid out very clearly.
