what kind of "style" should Lillard change to? Pass more to Mo and Aminu? Give up the ball more and watch CJ dribble? Abandon the PnR with Nurkic?

should he become a less impactful player so a defense won't sell out to stop him? rope-a-dope?

I think the best style change Lillard can make is to play with more talented players. That's on the GM

true, but it's pretty damn clear that the regular season means next to nothing once the playoffs start. Portland was 0-7 against the full OKC and Denver teams and 8-4 against them in the playoffs, including 3-3 on the road

this Dame/CJ version of the Blazer team is 1-11 against the Warriors in the playoffs, and Portland's one win came when Curry didn't play. The Warriors are a generational team, but their dominance over Portland is pretty discouraging. That's especially true considering Klay and Green are the same age as Dame, and Curry is only a year and a half older while CJ is only a year younger. How is Portland going to get past the Warriors? I don't see a path

I guy coming up the stairs past us was on his fifth beer run and dumped both of them on the middle ledge before going to the upper 300. Beer everywhere.

he'll make things better. But the problem is, IMO, he's not enough to close the gap and turn it to a Blazer advantage. Portland isn't 7-11 against the Warriors in the playoffs where one guy can tip the scales...they are 1-11

difference being you don't have to start your best bench players with Nurk….that's why Nurk makes both the starting unit and bench better

how better is the bench going to be if Hood, Kanter, and Curry leave? At this point, I think Portland may lose 2 of the 3. I also wonder if Aminu will be re-signed. Portland may take a step back this summer because they don't have full control over the situation

whatever the case....I'm talking about what we've had success with not next season or what ifs......when the last game is played we'll see how that all pans out. If you can't get Kanter a lot of bigs are free agents....you could even sign Ed Davis again.

Am i reading this right? Aminu i am sure is a real nice guy. But him leaving will not make the Blazers take a step back from what i see.

these are just speculations...someone..maybe you said all these guys are out the door...if Kanter isn't in your budget, Ed probably would be...that would mean other guys were off the books I'd guess...

Well, there's a strong possibility that Thompson, Durant and Cousins are gone next year as well as Igoudala and Green will be in a contract year. Things might be changing for the Warriors as they will have a lot of holes to possibly fill next year and the following year.

No way we sign ed back. Not with olshey here. That would be admitting letting him go was a mistake and he would never do that.

    Just for shits and giggles,

Could we release cj, someone else will pick him up and that negates our contract, right? We could them go sign thompson?

    Asking for a friend. Lol

    Hello darkness, my old friend
There isn't a strong possibility that Thompson is gone. He's said he wants to remain in Golden State...if they max him out, which they will (especially if Durant leaves), he's staying.

Cousins is gone for sure, Durant may well be gone.

It's a possibility whether it's strong weak or anywhere inbetween. Only time will tell but there have been reports that he plans to leave also so it's hard to say until he actually signs.
