CNN panel laughs at Biden claim that he marched in 1988 for civil rights
By Brie Stimson | Fox News

Joe Biden's climate change plan hit with plagiarism charge

This isn't the first time former Vice President Biden has been accused of copying someone else's work; Peter Doocy reports.

Reporter Jake Tapper and his panel on Tuesday took presidential candidate Joe Biden to task over his 30-year-old claim that he marched during the civil rights movement.

"More than once" Biden's advisors reminded him during 1988 presidential campaign that he, in fact, had not marched for civil rights, but Biden continued to make the claim to voters, The New York Times reported.

“That is really, really weird,” Tapper commented on the report.

BIDEN, NOW 76, ATTACKED HIS OLDER OPPONENT'S AGE DURING 1972 SENATE RUN

“When he gets really comfortable out on the stump,” Jeff Zeleny, a CNN reporter, told Tapper, “he has tended to embellish.” He added that Biden’s aides said, “he was in office marching for the idea of civil rights.”

“That’s not what the word marching means,” Tapper laughed in response.

In the age of social media, Zeleny said, Biden would not be able to get away with the same embellishments reported in The New York Times story. “So that’s his big challenge,” he added, explaining that those lies were why Biden ended up having to drop out of the race before the Iowa caucuses - "because he plagiarized a speech."

Joe Biden is someone I'd never vote for. He is worse than Hillary. If the Dems put him up, they won't get my vote.

If it's Trump or Biden you have no choice but to vote for Biden.
Personally, I prefer either Kamala Harris or Buttigieg but if it's between Biden and Trump I, being a person with an IQ over 40, must vote for Biden.

LOL Really??? I most certainly do have a choice.

Look, Biden will win Oregon right? So that means I don't have to vote for that toucher!

My vote won't matter. Trump will never win Oregon. So I can vote my conscious and feel fine.

The Dems better figure this shit out. If they don't put the proper candidate up, I will NOT vote for them and the whole country can have 4 more years of Trump.

I swear to God I don't care if he wins again if the Dems don't learn from 2016.

Really? I think if Biden is the nominee every person who isn’t pro Trump should vote for Biden.

Up to here, you are being somewhat practical and reasonable. It is true that we in Oregon can rely on our fellow citizens to do what's right for the country.

Although of course if we all act selfishly, that compact falls apart.

You care more about punishing the Democratic party for selecting the wrong candidate than you care who is president?

If you don't care who is president, why do you care who is nominated for president? Makes no sense.

Here's what you don't seem to understand about my position. The Dems (Obama included) have trotted out moderate after moderate. The ACA was a REPUBLICAN plan. Hillary is REPUBLICAN lite. Biden moreso than Her.

They need to learn as BAD as these republicans do that you can't take Black people's votes for granted. White people are just realizing the president can be a racist.

Maybe the Dems would learn if they had to suffer through 8 years of Trump.

It is THEIR failing. Not mine. The Democratic party left me. They won't get me back trotting out Joe Biden.

The party apparatus bears some blame for moderate candidates, but it's the voters who choose the nominees. The reason moderates keep getting chosen is, at least in part, because lots of voters are moderates.

I'm sorry, but that will not be the lesson learned if Trump is reelected.

The lesson that will be learned is that the country likes right-wing policies and Trumpism, and that future Democratic candidates need to be more centrist and less progressive.

If you don't vote (or vote for a third party) no one is going to try very hard to win your vote the next time. You'll be treated as a non-voter. Instead, the two parties will try to pick off each others voters.

That's ok, you don't have to play the game - but don't expect to bend anyone to your will by taking your ball and going home.

American politics is necessarily incremental. Biden (not my choice either, by the way) will be far better than Trump for progressive policies, even though he'd probably be much worse than some of the other Democratic candidates.

A change from Trump to Biden would make a huge difference to millions of people. But you can ignore that and stomp off the field - your teammates will have to keep playing, down a man.

What change would millions of people feel? Biden undermining the First Step Act? He can't let his decades in government be undone that easy. His poor corporate prison buddies probably held off on buying the newest Bugatti after it passed.

Pelosi and the gang would prefer 4 more years of Trump over ANY candidate you would like. Guarandamnteed.

Where do people think guys like Buttigieg come from? He's a safety measure the DNC puts in place. We'll get a gay military veteran version of Biden just in case.

Then we'll throw Beto in for lols and fill the roster with 20 other competing progressives to dilute any support they have.

Then you get Millary. Errr, Biden I mean......

    Dance puppets, dance.

Depends on who the DCCC puts up. You saw what they did to Bernie.

Taking my ball and going home?? I'm voting. Just not for the bullshit establishment candidate the Dems want me to swallow.

I live in a place where I can vote on my principles. If I lived in a swing state it might be different.

I will NOT vote for that peice of SHIT who instituted mandatory minimum sentencing and gave us Clarence Thomas for life.

I'm DONE just giving the Dems my vote. They must EARN it from now on.

You are WAY smarter than this... Jesus... You should know DAMN well she'd want Elizabeth Warren (I'll vote for her or Bernie) over Trump.

No way. Pelosi is an old white woman millionaire. She isn't anything remotely close to a progressive. Do I have to find the video of her saying something like "you mean all FIVE progressives"

She is less progressive than I am. Just like Hillary. Far right underneath, making dat big money.
