You can totally have that opinion and support it and be fine. Heres what I find frustrating is, anytime someone says something that’s perceived as criticism, it becomes they’re bashing the team, saying they suck, saying their horrible. I never once said anything like that in my post, yet you and others responded like I was saying to take them out like a horse with a broken leg... I dont understand why it has to be all or nothing, why does it have to be if someone criticizes them or thinks less of them than you or others do that it means they’re hating them?

I have some post in the toronto thread where I said they werent very good and I dont remember the entire context but I was talking about in respects to Golden State and that meams I somehow didnt enjoy their season or respect them?

 

I'm showing my age here? You gonna have to explain that one to me? Negs has always been short for negative Nancy's from my walk of life?

Hey and there are other takes where they think the team this year was a B or an A and I would totally respect, I may disagree and want to discuss it but I would respect their opinions, and to be fair to @kjironman1 he didnt really disrespect my opinion other than implying I only thought way because I listened to Bones. I love talking basketball outside of family and work its one of my favorite things, but heck even the “experts” disagree all the time its totally ok to have different opinions and discuss why we have those opinions.

Well i have had a poster say i have never said anything bad about the current coach but low and behold not but 6 lines before i had used respectful criticism of coach Stotts. Then i posted it right in the thread as an answer. No BAM!. No disrespect. Just a simple here ya go....
My problem with your OP was exactly what i posted about. They were better than a C+ this year in my opinion. The only way for you to get a cumulative grade higher is to raise the grades on the people or subjects you have graded. For some reason the negative response to this season has been overwhelming. Cannot figure it out at all. I for one was very entertained and i am going to continue to enjoy the success they had. Watch how things shake out this summer and i will be back next year pulling for the Blazers. All of them.

I dont know if you read it but I did post some where in this thread I wouldnt really take the GPA very seriously as there’s much more that could be said, I would probably give them somewhere in the B range overall. I honestly didnt think when I posted it that I was being all that critical of them, Ive seen people way, way, way more critical of them then I was.

What also needs to be differentiated is respect and pride for the season that was, and analyzing the season that was in regards to the state of the team going forward.

MY OPINION is that the team still has a lot of the same problems which caused them to lose to the Pelicans. Going forward, those problems need to be addressed if we want a championship. So when I complain about those problems, it's not complaining about the season, it's me trying to put things in the proper context in regards to how we move forward from here.

The season was great. Fantastic. A ton of fun. Best season I've ever seen. Never seen a playoff run like that. All of the above.

But making the WCF doesn't mean that the problems holding back the team don't exist, and the organization shouldn't act like that's the case. If they do, this could easily be the peak.

For some reason the difference between those two types of context keeps getting blurred into people not appreciating the season, or being proud of the team, or whatever...

I certainly was not trying to disrespect your opinion. Wasn't even really trying to disrespect bones. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that this season was special and it deserves a better grade.
Then i wanted those who feel the same to feel a bit more empowered to state their opinion without fear of the same posters coming at them bashing them for feeling good about this season.
Now i'm being asked to apologize for that..... Well i'm here to tell everyone that won't happen.

The Blazers had a great season. I'm gonna continue to pull for this team to have another and yes that includes the coach!

 

It’s not like Im so angry at Stotts or even their forwards that if it’s basically the same team next year, I’ll be cheering for them to lose. I cheer for them to win every game.

If there are posters afraid to post happy thoughts because Im going to bash them for being happy then I apologize to whoever those people are.

It is a forum though people are gonna post things I dont agree with and I’ll post things they dont agree with and we can discuss our opinions, its supposed to be fun!
