I have zero knowledge of this injury, but why does everyone say it is more likely an Achilles and not a ruptured calf muscle?

This is why I am confused. The location from that video seems like it could be either one. And since he was coming back from a calf injury why is there not the possibility that he ruptured it instead?

Last night the Warriors GM said he suffered an Achilles injury.

I feel really bad for KD. Yep, the GM said achilles and also said, or perhaps misspoke, that KD loved the game. We may never know what really happened regarding both of those injuries.

I don't know what he did either, but he was grabbing his achilles, or where his tendon USED to be.

That is a great option to have, but if a team is out there offering 4-years at the max, I would think he would jump on that - makes sense financially anyway. Now, will any team offer a max now, that is yet to be seen. I think the Knicks would.

If it weren't for it being the Warriors, and Durant specifically, I'd hate to say I told ya so. But it is, so I don't.
