This is a good point. The Lakers (and Clippers) can't afford to tell their fans wait wait wait until next year again. We're getting Paul George! No, wait, we're getting Kawhi Leonard! Uh, wait one more year, please.... Lebron said what?

According to Woj, New Orleans would ideally have something in place by this weekend.

    We’ll see.

Absolutely not. Shams is good. Really good. But Woj is in another dimension.

Circling back to the Lakers since so many think they’re the favorites. Has anyone actually looked at how awful of a basketball fit Ingram and Kuzma would be with Zion (and Jrue?) Neither one spaces the floor very well. Both are below average outside shooters The only way the Lakers are getting AD is if they ship those guys somewhere else for an all star caliber player who they’d reroute to New Orleans. But the question is who? Bradley Beal? Playing around with trade machine, the money wouldn’t even work (for anyone in Beals bracket actually) Lakers don’t have enough $ to trade out.

Why are they the favorites again?

Agreed on your point. But to my point, it's another reason to not like Davis. He speaks out both sides of his mouth - "win" and "NYK" are totally opposite things. Sounds like, really, he values location and being "the man" more than he values winning. That's cool - but along with all my other reasons, it's just one more reason I don't really want to trade for him.

Of course Dame has said similar things (would rather stay in POR and not win), but it's completely different because (a) he's been consistent in what he says and (b) he's being loyal, rather than a sell out, in order to achieve that goal.

For sure. But the way he went about it was ASS. Even if you set aside the likely collusion between him, LBJ, and their agent it was a piss poor way to go about it. (Of course, Kawhi wasn't much better. But Porzingas was!)

That's what I would suggest. That way you can continue to daydream.
