Interesting, but let's be honest, Trump won't care and will claim this is the swamp trying to silence him. It really, doesn't matter in Trumpworld.

The clear defense for this is obvious.

She's the President's counselor and he is exempt from this law so by extension....duh.

The law exempt are the people that were elected - so got to their position because of the political vote. Everyone that works for the federal government is not allowed to use their platform to sway the vote - because it is a gateway to totalitarian state - today it's the president's counselor, tomorrow it is the generals that his administration promoted who send the secret police to silence anyone that disagrees with him. I honestly can not believe that all the people that call themselves patriots are so cavalier about foreign government intervention and totalitarian behavior.

Uhhh, aren't all the people in congress paid by the people. So shouldn't Adam Schiff be fired for going on CNN or MSNBC and trying to sway the election. I know he was elected and that means something to you for some reason. Trump was elected and hired Kellyanne. She isn't a mail carrier.

You guy's and your fantasies about Trump the dictator are fascinating. Sad, but fascinating.

Meanwhile Julian Assange is on his way to being extradited here to face charges for publishing the truth. Trump seems to be letting that happen so black mark for him. On the other hand none of your "trusted" media seem to care much either.

I don't know what to think of Assange. I can only guess at couple things, I don't think he wrote the emails, and I don't think he stole them either.
So what exactly did he do wrong?

No, he's allowed free speech and the ability to have some time of his own. Sarah took advantage of her office to condemn a Virginia restaurant, The Red Hen.
"Walter Shaub, federal ethics chief under Barack Obama and briefly Donald Trump and now a fierce critic of the administration, responded: “Sanders used her official govt account to condemn a private business for personal reasons … she can lob attacks on her own time but not using her official position.”"

There's a law that governs this. It's referenced in the thread title. Maybe look it up?

I think the media is quite interested in Assange's charges and whether it might apply to them.

You obviously understand the difference, all I did was bold the stuff you wrote. It makes sense for people that stand for election to be engaged in politics. It makes no sense for federal employees to use their platform to sway elections.

The law is pretty simple, clear and makes tons of sense.
