At the very least, all those teams ahead of us won't get free agents. For example, if Jimmy Butler signs with the Clippers there is no way the 76ers would be 3rd.

In my opinion if GS is down / injured / breaks up next year. If Nurks healthy and they can keep the team afloat next year the Blazers may have a chance to win a ring even without making a big move. They seem capable of beating anyone except GS at this point.

What? I disagree completely we have at least given Dame some good players to surround him. Look at the Hornets roster, it’s a complete meas.

LeBron and Butler together would either be awesome or a total train wreck. Since I consider rooting against the Lakers to be a moral imperative, you can guess which I am hoping for!:drinkapint::cheers::abeer:

I find Jimmy Butler very interesting.

If he's your best player, your team isn't nearly good enough.
If he's your 4th best player, well, do you want to pay the max to your 4th best player?

He's also "somewhat" of a head case (your mileage will vary).

What the hell? Here you go again... I can't remember how the Warriors have been built? Seriously? I'm not even commenting on those older teams. Quit making things personal. SMFH.

Ok, so lets sit on our hands and pray because it took MJ some time and they didnt give up much for Pippen.

    Great logic.

You disagree with this because you are a Blazers fan. Until Dame said a couple of months ago that he wanted to stay and help the Blazers build, everyone outside Portland and even some Portland fans were speculating about Dame leaving. Heck, even now, we have people talking about how poorly our roster's been constructed and we're in the salary cap abyss because of Evan Turner and we won't move CJ. Just read the board. It's all here.

OK, so let's throw more at New Orleans for one year AD than Toronto did for Kawhi. We can become the next New York Knicks because we are too desperate to know there are multiple ways to make things work.

    Great logic.

Exaggerate much? Do the Knicks have Dame?

Yeah.. No... Dame ALONE gives us 30 wins.

And let's be clear about this. No one is saying to sit on our hands. Refusing to give up all of our resources to acquire AD isn't sitting on our hands. It's being smart because we are a top team either way. We don't need to overpay. If we get him for a decent deal, of course you do it.
