At 2:30 his elbows out a little, what I noticed though is his release is FAST, im on my phone hitting pause / play over and over to get frames. I think his shot looks weird but its smooth and goes in and thats the important part.

Everyone sees it. Bones probably sees it. But Bones is in one of his moods tonight because the Blazers didn't get AD, so he's taking it out on everyone. He's just trying to pick arguments.

Check the screenshots. His elbow is more inside of his shooting shoulder than outside. His elbow is more in than anyone else on the entire team... Haha.

So been watching his shot over and over, I think whats strange about it, is his shoulders dont really square up to the basket, the ball is basically right in front of his face. I mean I dunno, like I said it goes in so at the end of the day who cares lol.

I posted screenshots as proof. Either you're eyesight needs to be checked or you refuse to admit your wrong. I hate when people say obviously false BS and then when you provide photographic proof, they just want to deflect or ignore it and say blanket bullshit like "Everyone sees (its out)". And yeah, I'm not in a good mood. AD got traded to the Lakers.

Snickers have come out with some hilarious commercials over the years.

Then there's my favorite. "Steve was delicious." "Yeah!"

Yeah the more I watch whats interesting about his motion is more his shoulders than his elbows, he ends up kind of shooting the ball like a sniper, right down the sights. I still think it looks a bit strange compared to watching other guys mechanics, but he’s a good shooter snd everyone’s mechanics are different. to some degree.

His shoulders don't square? He has a slight tilt with his right shoulder forward slightly. Most great shooters have a tilt. Dame, Curry, KD, etc.

There are a few things. His elbow starts out. He pulls it in as he goes up, like he twists a bit. That's where the shoulders thing comes in that you see. He doesn't hold his follow-through like most fundamental shooters. It's hard to tell if he just snaps back fast or never fully extends.

It's not a textbook shot. But it goes in, so it works for him.

Yeah it's just funny because the one thing that's for certain is that his elbow is in.

It's not something you can see in screenshots. That's all about angles and split seconds. It's watching the entire form from start to finish.

No it doesn't. I think you're confusing his shot line for his elbow being out. He has a shot line that starts up the left side of his body and comes across. It's not his elbow being out. His elbow is never outside of his shooting shoulder at any point during his shot.
    upload_2019-6-15_19-38-35.png upload_2019-6-15_19-39-43.png

The ball however, does move across his body. You'll see this with most good shooters though, the shooting arm is rarely near-vertical throughout the entire motion and if it is, then there's too much looping motion away from the body then back towards it during the motion. Anfernee's is a bit overexaggerated but it helps his shot be quick and fluid.

I've been watching it in 0.25 speed in 60fps from directly behind him. You're confusing his elbow being out for his shot line being across his body.

Or if it takes half an hour to release the shot, like Meyers.....

EDIT: DANG! I was doing so good on not bashing Mr. Lenoard. I really hope for good things to come from him in the future. COME ON Meyers, YOU. CAN. DO. IT!!!!

He's starting his shot. Look at the shooting hand placement on the ball. His elbow is clearly out because his hand is on the side of the ball. He'll corkscrew it in while in motion. If he didn't, he'd be shooting a two-hand chest pass or a one-hander toward the front row.

He releases his guide hand earlier in his motion than most good shooters because he shoots forward, not up. His hand never really dips in the cookie jar because he is going toward the basket, not straight up.
