It's Boston. There was speculation that they had a deal for Capela during the draft with Boston but the player they (Houston) wanted was gone.

I wouldn't believe anything coming from Houston. They are supposedly in the running for Bosh/Gasol/Amare/Melo/Lebron/etc etc etc every year. Philly still has to agree to trade away Butler and you know he wants that 5th year and max raises. Bunch of nonsense.

Butler has shown he's a little prickly about the roster he plays on. Do people really think he'll approve of being on a team with Harden and Paul?

I know Paul and Harden are denying a beef but it's pretty obvious there is one. Paul thinks he should control the ball more. How is throwing a 3rd player that expects to be just as ball dominant as those other two gonna help Houston take the next step?

    I don't get it.

A big reason for Houston's step back last year was losing Ariza and Mbah A Moute on the wings. Losing Gordon and Capela (and maybe Tucker?) while getting hard capped for Butler seems weird. That's over the salary cap with just Harden, Butler, and Paul. Can they really fill out the rest of the roster with good enough bigs to make that work? Maybe they pull it off but it certainly doesn't scare me right now.

Neither does Morey. All that dork cares about is landing big names. Doesn’t matter which one. Doesn’t matter how they fit.

It's the same build mold that LA might be doing with Kyrie-Lebron-AD

which is substantially better than what HOU is doing.

Why would we hate Lebron? Just because he is on the Lakers?

I don't hate Lebron at all.

They didn't trade much for him.

    Completely against this...

Even NBA coaches barely know the rules... Let alone challenge a call...

    It's either that or he's a Laker/Clipper.

If Boston sign Kemba, what can they really send back for Capela to match salaries? Moving Smart wouldn’t be smart.

I respect what he’s done on and off the court and he’s to me the third or fourth best player of all time, but Ive never really cheered for him either, because I pretty much cheer on Blazers and thats about it, with a few exceptions.

You think either LA franchise would offer him a max deal while he recovers from his ACL injury? I don't.

I'd have thought GSW would try to sign him to a discounted deal similarly to how they did with Steph when he had all his ankle problems. Not my money though. :dunno:
