Like I said, I could be wrong. I don't see Skal as a PF, though.

On a side note, those starting lineups are a mess.

Assuming you have a center already in place, I like Skas at PF. But, I also like Collins at PF for the same reasons. They are both quick enough to defend quick stretch fours, but also can both hit the three and both punish smaller defenders inside. I would be happy with Collins as starting 4, with Skal as the backup 4.

I would really like to see the following lineup at some point (but with Nurk out it may be a while):

    PG: Dame, Ant
    SG: CJ, Ant
    SF: Bazemore, Harkless, Little
    PF: Collins, Harkless, Skal
    C: Nurk, Collins, Leonard

Didn't see it much in game 82, since Zach only played like 13 minutes, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Zach and Skal play a together a bit this season. We talk a lot about "switchability" at the wing spots, but I'd think it'd be valuable at the post positions as well.

I don’t like Moes fit at PF. He plays his best when matched up against smaller guys. We need to find an actual power forward imo.

Kemba Kanter is the most versatile player in the league. Wish we could get him.

Imagine the D though. Must be the worst defense ever.

I am not sure what that looks like anymore. Maurice Lucas/Karl Malone to me was the prototype for along time, but I doubt either could cover the quick shooting stretch 4s these days. Draymond probably is the best scenario as he can cover any forward. But it might be easier just getting two different types. Or just use a long SF when needed against certain stretch 4s who only hang outside.

Skal is very young, very athletic, and has flashed some good skills. What I think and hope sets him apart is that he appears to have a good motor, a good attitude, and good character.

I've said before, Simons and Skal are the future. I hope I'm right. Also hope Zach and Nassir are part of that future.

Good point. Hadn't even considered that.

    Nevermind.

    Dame, CJ, _____, Skal, Nurk
    Ant, (GT Jr?), Nas, Zach

If our young guys develop well, and we can get a quality SF to fill that one gaping hole in the lineup, 20-21 could be special.

In game 82, how many people think that if you put Collins in the same spot as Skal, that he would have produced as much? I like Collins, but I don't see him going 29 and 15 in that game.

I would prefer to have a minimum of 3 good outside shooters on the floor at once.

If you start Baze then I would go with Collins and Nurk
If someone like Harkless or Little started than I would lean towards the better outside shooting 4. (Skal)

It's hard to tell and this might seem like an excuse for Zach (and maybe it is) but I kind of see him as a guy who can impact the game without necessarily putting up crazy stats (except maybe blocks sometimes).

    Exactly.
You have to have those type of guys too. Which is one reason why I could care less if he played in summer league this year, fans would just bitch about his lack of numbers against "inferior players.

And it is also why in my post above I said start him if we have three other shooters on the floor with him, but not if we don't. Regardless if he starts or comes off the bench he will get his minutes this year.

Another one. His agent is also based on Chicago and Enes spends a lot of time there.

Some realistic targets for us which could really well (I'd love to get Dedmon, but he'll be out of our range):

Richaun Holmes (offense, some shooting, decent defense at PF)
    Dragan Bender (defense, C)
Corey Brewer (defensive wing, underrated, always goes 100%)
    Sam Dekker (front court scoring)
Henry Ellenson (bench depth, some size)
    Ed Davis, obviously
Danuel House jr (if Rockets want to shed salary and renounce)
Luke Kornet (some shotblocking, but great shooter and decent rebounder)
Eric Moreland (if we cant get Ed Davis, similar skillset)

    Probably too expensive:
    Taj Gibson
    RHJ (especially considering his skillset)
    Maxi Kleber
    Daniel Theiss

    Thoughts?
