Ennis will love Boston! And love beating his rival (Knicks), which I'm sure had some influence on his decision. Wish him well....good guy
Neil? Neil gave him that 70M contract in the first place. I think his relationship with Neil is a-OK.
You're assuming the dollars were the same. If we could offer him the Vet Min, that's a difference of $3.3MM, or playing for roughly a third of what he got. Not many people would make that deal. I'm still a Kanter fan and think we'll see him in a Blazer uni again.
That’s because the guy that tweeted hashtagged NHL on accident. He re worked it. Could be a shot at Kanter.
Edit that was definitely a shot at Kanter. I don’t think Nurk ever liked him tbh. He never followed him on IG and he follows everyone else, even Hood.
If I had to choose between hood and Kanter, I choose Hood. I think Hood could stay here for a long time.
I'm not assuming anything, don't put words in my mouth. I'm saying that the money shouldn't have even mattered if he was serious about his feelings about Portland, the success of last season, and the future success with him still being a part of the team. For him to act surprised or act like a victim in his tweet is disingenuous to me. It is a business, and some people like money more, but then don't act like you had no choice or that you were pressured. And now Dame has come out and said that it was the last 6 minutes of 45 that were given. Lost alot of respect for Kanter, not that it matters to him or anyone else.
I really wanted him back and will be a Blazer for life IMO. But Whiteside is so much better post defender.
It seems that management gave him the ultimatum and planned all along to let him go with a six minute limit. He did come through for us in regular season and the playoffs. I wish I could shake his hand and thank him for his efforts.
Neil was working on getting Whiteside and moving out Turner, Aminu, and Harkless. That made Hood the higher priority. Great moves all around.
