    Some big upsets.
LeMahieu starts in lieu of Altuve.

JD Martinez and Nelson Cruz will get to sit at home.
For once the fans got second base right, but that's about all.

How can an outfield operate without thee Judge...

Heard Harold Reynolds crying about the failures of Harper & Machado to the All Star Roster. Note: neither could pass muster and failed to make the cut chosen by the fans whom that exhibition game is for. Reynolds admitted that while Harper had a poor start he was "getting there". Sorry not in time. In the case of Machado he per Reynolds the best 3rd base defender but did no put up the offense desired by the fans. Hey shit I'm sure many a Yankee Fan would like to see Judge in there but the man missed too many games to pass muster. No matter what system they try there will always be on puppy left in the kennel.

Rob, I am a Judge fan, but I admit, I voted honestly and I just could not vote for him. And I’m OK with
    that.

I thought long and hard on voting for Judge. I did vote for him at the very beginning of balloting.

I then thought the AS game should (#1) reward a players accomplishments for the year, and, I thought (#2) coming back from the DL, the last thing Judge needed was to risk injury in an Exhibitio. So I voted for Trout, Brantley and Wrote in Merrifield as the 3rd OF'r.
Knowing Merrifield didn't stand a chance on the ballot at any position, thus I totally wasted a vote which Betts and Benitendi would not get- Doh :hcp:
