The most 'Neil' kind of guy left would seem to be Dragan Bender. #4 pick in the 2016 Draft who hasn't panned out. Is there any potential left in him or is he just a massive bust?
Can someone tell Nate to stop saying this. He's getting no interest as a center because he can't keep up with guys at that position and you think he'd be okay at PF?
It's crazy but I don't think Boogie would be a good addition for the minimum, we need defense out of a center. Hell maybe we just kick the tires on him if he somehow signs for so little and do a trade in December if needed.
It looks like PF is shaping up to be our weak spot. If Collins struggles, there is nobody to plug the hole.
It feels like the Blazers need another big (especially at PF) until Nurkic gets back. I just don't trust Zach to stay out of foul trouble on a nightly basis and then that leaves Skal, Tolliver or Hezonja to fill in? But Zach is also going to have to play quite a bit of Center (or Skal will) so they still need someone IMO. Remaining bigs: Cousins - don't see a fit for him Morris (x2) - if it was a choice, which would you rather have? JaMychal Green - one of my favorites left Jabari Parker - just doesn't play enough D Joakim Noah - would fit quite well IMO even thought he's a C, and wouldn't need a lot of minutes Tyson Chandler - if there is anything left, would also fit very well Jonas Jerebko - not a bad fit Nene - not really a fit Bogut - seems done Amir Johnson - pretty unproductive of late Koufos - not a fit Pau Gasol - now Pau is interesting if his foot is okay. Vet that doesn't need many minutes but with championship grit Bender - No Chriss - No Diallo - Interesting but prefer a vet not chomping for minutes. Monroe Pachulia
Memphis has four days to decide whether to guarantee Avery Bradley’s contract (they won’t, but I bet they’re trying to trade him) If he hits the market, will he get more than the minimum? He’s been on a decline. If he doesn’t, I’d be all for it though.
Joakim Noah would be at the top of my list. I’d love Green but I can’t see him settling for the minimum.
Agree with both of those. Green may want more minutes than are available and agreed about it might take more than the minimum. Noah seems perfect because not only does he rebound and play defense, he is a very good passer. Was a huge Noah fan when he was at Florida. Knew we couldn't get him because he wouldn't go #1 but always liked him. (2007 was one of the most fun Draft parties we had ever been to.)
Something I really never want to see happen. We are getting low on available roster spots. For once in a very long time I don't think having enough wing shooters is our biggest concern. Sure the more the merrier in case of injuries, but at his age (especially defensively) I think we have other options.
Two spots left, one of which I think well be left open for a while. Still a need for another big IMO. Doubtful, but will Hoard as a 2-way do/play enough to eventually take the 15th roster spot? Does Daum do enough to get a 2-way and eventually the same chance?
